It's Legos, and it's Star Wars!

My 10-year-old son is a PlayStation fanatic and he loves this game. He received it for his birthday, after having played it at a friend's house and loving it. When I asked him why he liked it so much he said, "It's Legos, and it's Star Wars!" (Like...duh, mom!)He likes that he can play as Legos, and he likes that it contains all three Star Wars episodes, and you get to go through all of them. His 14-year-old brother and cousin seem to love it too. Nice gift!! Big hit.

Lego Star Wars is a great blend of both the Star Wars universe and Lego fun. Yeah, it's aimed at kids, but this almost-40 dad enjoys playing the game with his 10-year-old. Some kid Playstation games are too simple and not challenging for an adult, but not this one. The different levels are hard enough that my son gets frustrated with me for not doing them right. :-) The controls and moves are easy enough for little kids and grown-ups who cannot master all the complicated combo moves other games require. We love the free play mode where we can bounce in and out of scenes. And my favorite parts are when the characters get killed--the characters pieces pop apart all over the place. It just cracks me up. And if you get killed, your guy just reassembles and you pick up where you left off, without having to start levels over in most cases. It's a wonderful little action game that doesn't take itself too seriously.

I bought this game for my 7 year old nephew. He immediately was able to get the moves down and had a blast. His 4 year old brother also is able to play it - in the simplest way of course! I decided to give it a try - I said "I'll just play it for an hour"..... well, 3 hours later I finally forced myself to put it away. All my sister hears now is "can we play Lego Star Wars?" The game really is a lot of fun - for any age that can just let go and enjoy the adventure!!!

I rented this Video game and it's awsome! There're lots of characters. And if you get all the canisters. You can unlock
Episode IV! and you can play as Darth Vader! And if you do nothing to him, you can here him breathing! you should get this game. It is super fun!

yes,It is alot of fun but it is JUST PLAIN EASY!!!!!!!!!!! I rented it and I played it for 2 hours,went to bed,woke up,played it for 10 minutes and I beat it. now you probably think I hate this game right? wrong!! I love it!!! there are so many charecters to choose from there is the jedi who can use the force to take things apart flip switches and push stuf around jar jar who can jump way high droids can open doors (only they know the code) guys with blasters can shoot and when there on a red circle they can use there blaster as a grapling-hook-gun and can shoot target switches.graphics are great the are the best I have ever seen in a lego game. Sound is great if you closed your eyes and just listened you could tell its a star wars game. Over all its a great game,I just wish it was harder.

This game is pretty cool, i have unlocked almost all the characters. And yes, you can play as the dark side ( I don't know if you can unlock Darth Vader)! There are plenty of levels, some are easy and some are very diffucult(the majority of the levels are easy). My 3 year old brother can even play it, and he loves it!
The controls are great, as well as easy to learn. All in all, a very fun game, and just about anyone can just pick it up and play!(Oh yeah, i forgot, the graphics and music are great! Top notch!)

This is one of my favorate games ever this is a super fun game and just a blast to play and one of my personal favorates I just have a blast playing this game and love the gameplay it's just a great game to play I love the characters and levels but I'm just wondering what purpose earning the vehicles served?and for all you poeple out there who are wondering what the characters are I'm going to give everyone a list of all the characters I have so far

Best "E" Rated Game Ever!

This is the best "E" rated game yet. I've had bad luck with games related to movies or toys, but this is the clear exception. The figures are exactly like the legos but with great action! And the story line follows the first three Star Wars movies including such great scenes as the Pod Race, Jedi/Clone battle, and the rescue of the Chancellor.

It's both challenging but great fun for the young player as the characters come back to life on the same level if they die. No blood or guts, just great jedi fun. One of the best aspects of the game is that you earn more characters as you go along like jedi knights, droids, clones and sith. There are dozens of characters! You also get vehicles and space ships along the way.

If your child likes Star Wars and Legos, then ANY AGE will enjoy this game. There are lots of special features for the more experienced gamer, and the ability to change characters means that the game is never the same twice.

One final note, two person play is also the best I've seen for kids. A second player can join and drop out from the mission any time. This means that a friend or brother can hop into the adventure any time, battle with you, and then drop out when it's time to go. My boys have completed all of the basic missions, but they have been working together to collect all the extras now.

This one won't disappoint!

Poor Compatibility

I have the original PS2 console, which works beautifully for all games and DVD's EXCEPT LEGOS STAR WARS! We tried three different brand new copies of the game and none of them would load - all had to be returned. We kept getting a "Disk Read Error" message. Extremely frustrating. If it's billed as a PS2 game, it should be compatible with ALL PS2 consoles or it should state clearly that it does not work with the original version of the console!
