Nothing compared to the Computer Version

If you have access to a half decent computer than don't even bother getting the PS2 version of this game. Allied Assault is so much more entertaining than Frontline, it's not even funny. I turned Frontline off in 20 minutes and played Allied Assault instead. Not only does Allied Assault have single player action, but online multiplayer, which the PS2 version does not have. Get Allied Assault on PC, and forget this one.

A terrifically entertaining game

This one kept me glued to the screen for days. The gameplay is great, the graphics awesome, the storyline, familiar but fun. I would give it 5 stars easily.

EXCELLENT WAR GAME

ive been waiting for a good war game for ps2 and here it is. if you liked saving private ryan get your hands on this when it comes out. i cant stop playing the demo, i just keep starting over because its so addicting. gta3 will have to take a back seat when this monster comes out the first week of june. im pre ordering it now because i cant wait to see the other levels. the enemies are so real, dont die on the first shot unless its a head shot, look VERY realistic, and the weapons are so real, the grenades go right where you throw them. cant wait for this one, for now the demo will have to do!

pretty bloody frigin cool

This game is cool. I mainly like the last levels because those are harder. U might think, WELL LIKE IT,S LIKE ONLY LIKE FOUR BUCKS SO MOST LIKELY ITS STUPID AND OLD, but it aint. they dont cuss much(but who cares?) and on d-day its like in saving privat ryon but the G.I.s in the boat get blown up, not shot up. so u should by it.

Rent this one first

Pros: Good graphics, long levels, and can be very challenging on the harder difficulty settings. The levels are very imaginitive and realistic. (The first level makes you feel like you are thrust into the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan). The weapons selection is quite extensive. The music, sounds, and voice acting are very good. The cinema between levels is well done and very interesting.

Cons: Game play is awkward and downright frustrating at times. The controls take some getting used to and the chaos of the first level makes jumping into the game somewhat difficult. Another annoying quirk is that sometimes you find enemies beyond your visual range shooting at you (even if you search with a scope of a sniper rifle). All you hear are gun shots and your health going down and you have no idea where they are coming from. Also, some levels are very long and you can only save between levels (i.e., you get killed toward the end of a tough level, get ready to start over....)

Overall, the game is fun but definitely a rental in my opinion. If you are coming over from PC and like MOA:AA or Wolfenstein (like me) then I would definitely recommend renting. Not having a mouse for precision aiming makes really detracts from a PC gamers enjoyment. You end up getting frustrated with the awkward controler aiming and bull rushing the enemy with an automatic weapon..... If you want a good FPS, get an Xbox and Halo. Unfortunately, this game falls well short of that mark.

pretty good

this game, for the most part,is pretty good.I hate most first person shooters but the first mission was visually awesome in the beginning, although the missions do get very annoying. The graphics are great,im surprised they could have all that action on screen with good graphics and still make the game run smoothly. In my opinion,on the downside is that the game litterly copies all WWII movies in existence. The first mission is a pefect replica of saving private ryan while the sumbarine one has U571 written all over it.Theres also a snpiering level that bears a uncanny resemblence to enemy at the gates. But if u can get past that tiny bit of cinematic nostalgia, youll have a perfect way to alleviate boredom during the year.

Just can't AIM!

I played Call of Duty on PC and I was in AWE! So I got this Medal of Honor game for GameCube. I thought playing a game without a keyboard would be best...but I am wrong. Trying to aim in this game is "THE" challenge. I lose patience and turn it off before I even get deep into a level because it is hard to aim at those who are shooting at you. On the PC you can get the cross hairs between the eyes, but on the former... you kinda' just have to swing the cross hairs while in rapid fire hoping it will strike your target somewhere. Shooter Games will no longer be bought for my game console...I'll just stick with my PC :)

I'm Jewish and get MUCH satisfaction from this

I just wanted to add that being Jewish, I love being able to sit there mowing down Nazis. I've actually only played the free playable demo I got on a Playstation Magazine sampler back in '02. It takes you right to that French or German street where you can hop on the Jeep and start firing that mounted machine gun. I rented the real game but had major trouble getting off the beach on D-Day. Let me tell you though, as a Jew, it's a sweet, sweet fantasy to blow away Krauts all day long.

Whats this?

After MOH:AA came out I was expecting a lot from this game. The graphics in this are just poor. It looks like your in an interactive painting. The AI is still pretty stupid just like in MOHAA. The missions are boring and the D-Day mission isn't even close to as intence as the one in MOHAA. My biggest complaint is there is no ingame save. I slent 2 hours on one level then died and had to start all over again!!!!

great fun, but too short

While MOH:FL is clearly part of the long MOH dynasty, I felt this game ended too early. I don't mean that in the sappy way people swoon over favorite movie or books, I just mean that there were not enough missions.

The game begins excellently with a storming of Omaha Beach. The ending (I won't give it away) was pure cornball schlock.

My advice: wait a bit and find a used copy.
