Very poor excuse for a game... oops. I meant loading.

Yes. Loading. Like CB: Wrath of Cortex, most of this game is loading. I can never enter staightly to Cloud9 'cus then loading ALWAYS froze. And The slowness. Yuck.

Pros:
Graphics are amazing.
Fine Sound and Music.
Its Spyro. What can I say?
Get to torch Moneybags. OHYES!

Cons:
Loading.
Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery slooooooooooow...
Short.
Graphics sometimes DISAPPEAR!!! Poof! GRaphics GOOOOOONE!!! I was once on the level DragonFly Dojo and the environment disappeared. I walked. I fell. Fell. Fell. Repeat. I restart console and have to watch more loadings.
Loadings are Toxic.
Why dont you load somethin'.
Open your load.
Load.
Load.
Load.
Load.
Load.

Load.
Load. Repeat forever.

Graphics: 9.5
Sound: 8.0
Gameplay: 0.5
Fun: 3.5
Overall: 0.5
Loadings take: 99.9% of the entire game.

Final Verdict:
Do not even rent it. Its one of the worst games created. A newly born baby could make a better game.

This is going to be a good game, not innovative but good....

After playing the demo, I can honestly say this is going to be a good game. Alot better than Crash Bandicoot:The Wrath of Cortex, I assure you. If you were a fan of the first three games, you'll definitely have alot to be happy about with this one. Yet, it really hasn't given anything new to the series from what I see. Nothing innovative for the series. Course, I just played the demo so I don't really know if it has or not. I'll admit, I'm happy with what I've seen so far. The graphics are detailed and colorful, lush, and crisp. I'd like to take the opportunity, here, to recommend to anyone reading this that their are two Spyro games for the Gameboy Advance as well that are pretty awesome. Spyro:Season of Ice, and Spyro:Season of Flame. If you love the Spyro series, definitely check those out. As for Enter the Dragonfly, save up your change for this one. It's going to be good.

I bought a PS2 for this????

Wow - what happened to Spyro? I can't believe that I waited two years for this disaster. I've never played a game that had so many bugs in it. Unfortunately, you can't return a game once it's been opened. If you could, the line to return Spyro:Enter The Dragonfly would be as long as the load times. What a disappointment.

Crash Test Crashed!

Being a big Spyro fan, I was looking forward to playing the new Spyro enter the dragonfly game. After getting the game and playing it, within a few hours i noticed so many bugs, faults and bad ploting it made me disgusted. I know the creaters are not the usual Insomniac (spelling is probably wrong) company but whoever these "Universal Interactive" company is, they should of paid a bit closer attention to the testing of the game before letting it out on stores. The game's filled with crashes, freezing and invisable items that can harm you that come out of no where can be very frustrating. Not to mention the plot is very bad and there is no ending what so ever. Personaly i think it was made to get money out of the name itself and not for the quality. Sadily if Universal Interactive continue making new spyro games i will not buy them and will encourage others to not waste their money. They did such a poor job that my liking in Spyro died with the "no ending to the game" of "enter the dragon fly". Sorry Spyro, if insomnac come back to making Spyro I'll came back playing within a heart beat..till then...universal will continue killing off the cute lil dragon as we know.

Nice try, Vivendi, but I'm buzzed off. This Spyro is a drag.

I was very disappointed after anticipating and ordering early... what a riptoc-off! I felt like i was the one falling off a cliff this time.

There's more bugs than dragonflys in this shoddy version of Spyro. For starters, someone should fire their Quality Assurance team (hint).

This obviously is the product of a company rushing to get product out before Christmas.

I just made it to the last level - in 5 days.

Despite... swearing repeatedly at the numerous forced restarts after random freezes, graphics glitches (my favorites were Spyro against an all black background, or suspended mid-air after the landscape disappeared leaving nothing but a sky), random re-appearances of the bad guys, framerate issues, annoying sounds that "stick" and buzz even when you aren't near the sound-source, Chloe not appearing out of the "sparkles", Chloe's saves not saving properly, saves between worlds failing, and general quality issues.

Despite... finding the shallowness of the product that provides only one quarter of the worlds to explore compared to previous Spyro games, trivial challenges, the repetitive nature of speedways, lackluster puzzles, no supercharges or precarious chases... etc.

I just read in the Sierra forums a post stating that someone called Tech Support and found out they will not issue an updated disk unless they get 100 calls a day.... fine with me. Once burned, twice shy I say . Bring back Insomniac!

Doesn't do justice to my favorite purple dragon

I just finished this game, and it was a HUGE disappointment. Spyro the Dragon 1, 2, and 3 are my favorite games of all time. This game has all of the tasks, but none of the joy of the previous Spyro's. I experienced dozens of bugs and freeze ups during the game. On one level, and entire rooms graphics just disappeared! Big Spyro fans will probably buy the game anyway, but I would suggest renting for a week. The game was mercifully short, but the load times were unbearable.
Overall, it feels like they pumped this thing out in time for Christmas without any Quality Assurance. Nevermind that getting a badly put together Spyro game is the saddest Christmas gift ever.
If there is any justice, all involved will be fired, or worse yet, be forced to play this mess. Spyro deserves so much more!!!

Very Dissapointing

There are multiple and annoying bugs in this game.
It is very short compared to other spyro games.
The speedways and other extra levels arent fun.
The loading times are LONG.
Much easier than other Spyro games.

However it is entertaining if you have nothing better to do. but if you enjoy games similar to this I would suggest "Ratchet and Clank"- more challenging than most Spyro games but very enjoyable.

All in all i regret paying as much as i did for this game. I wish i would have waiting a few months until the price went down on it. I suggest you do the same if you still want to purchase game.

A good idea gone badly wrong

Everyone else has said it for me. I like the graphics, there have been a few clever activities but the jerkiness and poor angles of the camera are very distracting. I'm only halfway through the game and it's lost data while saving at least four times--very frustrating to have to complete a whole level again. It's too easy, which is nice for my three year old. It's too short. In summary, because of the bugs and slapdash attention to programming, this is the most frustrating and annoying game I have ever played.

"Yowch!!!!!"

That's what Spyro says whenever you charge in to a wall. That's also the sound I made when I was playing (the whole 30 minutes). Who would have thought the Spyro on PS2 was worse then Spyro on PS1?

Graphics: 2/5 Wow. They're all pretty and shiny and stuff, but somehow look choppy and disorienting. Water looks crinkly and WAY too much like paper if you can imagine that. The baskets with gems in them look SO MUCH like the real things. YET STILL CRAPPY!!!!!!!!!!! *shudder* Give me old Spyro any day!

Controls: 3/5 ok. pretty much same as all the other Spyros . But now L1 swithches your flame (flame/bubbles/ice) and R1 does something else. God, i don't even know. Oh, and by the way, Spyro's really slow, hafta charge if you want to get anywhere.

Sound: music, ok. whatever.

Storyline: Ripto comes again (gee, i thought i creamed him) and is like "I'm takin over Whatever, *waves wand thingy* *dragonflies disappear* "Well, that wasn't supposed to happen, but OK!" thats pretty much how far i got.

On Replay: 0/5 You must think i have a lot of time in my hands.

Overall: I dunno how to get the average, but i'd say 2/5. Buy Spyro 1. Still the best after everything.

Ehhhhh...no.

I didn't even buy this game, I rented it from my friend. Let me say it plain, after Insomniac sold the rights to Spyro, it's over. Just, no. Ripto fell in lava. He DIED. That means, he shouldn't be in the dragon realms. Secondly, after a certain number of games, you just have to accept it and let it go. Vivendi Universal can only regurgitate this "Go through portals and collect all of the [insert something here]"

When I was eight I got hooked on Spyro 1, playing the same level over and over in the playstation store. My first game for my PS1 was Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Insomniac, I bow down to you forever for our three Spyro games.

Right, back to Dragonfly whatever. To tell you the truth, I couldn't even play the first level. I got too disgusted, and the controlling made me feel I was walking through sludge. It was really...not good. So I don't recommend buying this game, whether you are an Insomniac Spyro Fan or not. If you are, this will make you want to cry. If you aren't, you'll get frustrated, and get the wrong idea about Spyro.
