Madden 2002 will be the best football game ever made. The graphics stunning and the play controll is really good and it's a heck better than madden 2001.I suggest you get this game if you have a ps2 ...

Not much new but a solid improvement over 2001.

The game is pretty much the same as 2001 except for a few minor changes here and there. The graphics look slightly better, the Ai covers the pass better and is harder to burn, Coaches are now more active in the game and are more individual (Tony Dungy won't be as emotional as other coaches, etc)there's now cheerleaders, The madden card system is a little more advanced with different kinds of packs and new cheats and classic players, you can create teams, etc. About the 3 versions the Gamecube will be inferior due to a smaller memory card (I think I read that in 2003 it will be fixed) while the Xbox and PS2 will be pretty close. Also personally i think madden 2k2 is better then Sega NFL 2k2, but Sega still has that unrealistic arcade feel which some prefer over Madden.

Boom!! This is going to be good.

I have to admit, I used to stick with the Gameday series through thick and thin. Now, I am eagerly waiting for Madden 2002 to come out. I have been a Madden 01 junkie on PS2 for a while now. Just ask my wife. I find that Madden attempts to bring out the small things in the game that add up to quite a bit at the end. From the grass in the helmet to the grass stains on the jerseys, even to the realistic injuries and their time to recover, it is all realistic.

One suggestion. If Madden were to be able to download current NFL progress into the game, similar to NFL2K1 on Dreamcast, it would be awesome. If the injured players were helped off the field by trainers, that would be a plus. During the season, a nagging injury column could be helpful. From there a gamer can decide to play the guy or let him sit out another week. This review is based off of Madden 01. If you can make Madden 2002 even better and better as the years go on, then this very well could be the standard all football games will be judged by.

What no online play?

I think I am going to wait for SEGA's NFL2k2. It has online play and the players won't look like little munchkins. Plus you will be able to play cross platform so whether your friends have The Dreamcast, Xbox, ps2 or gamecube you will be able to play them online.

Avoid the people telling you to buy Sega's garbage.

I've played a review copy of this year's Madden, and it is far superior to last year's already amazing title. You can even create your own team's uniforms this year (I spent hours getting all the coloring just right etc.) It's a blast. EA knows football. Sega knows how to screw up hardware.

No Online Play?!??!??!

WHAT NO ONLINE PLAY???? As an avid fan of football video games, I must admit that I will stick with the slightly inferior Sega NFL2K2 simply because I can play online with NFL2K2. Until EA develops online play for Madden, I will stick with the Sega NFL 2k? series, even with the Xbox. Online play is redefining the football video game genre...c'mon EA, get with it!

Madden 2002- YOU NEED TO GET THAT!

With out question- Madden 2001 was the best sports game ever made. Plain and simple. The graphics were so great that I just wanted to cry. I mean the game is so fun if there was one game that had to have Madden 2001 would be my first choice. Now that Madden 2002 is comming out, the expecations are so high this time around. A updated roster, an advanced franchise, team creation, season, exhibition, and your old time favorites. And you know EA will give some more surprizes and goodies for the fans. Madden 2002 will be the sports game of 2001 and is a must get game. Madden 2002-The game of the year automatically!

As soon as you play Madden 2002, dont be surprised if you pants get a little wet. No game will ever make you feel the way Madden does. The graphics are wonderful, the gameplay is tight, and the control is perfect. Madden 2002 is perfectly designed for the PS2 system. Its a must buy for any gamer and an instant blow for all of the die hard football fans.

Mouth Drooling last year just imagine this year
