When i first played this game i thought it was absoloutly fantastic!!! There is a secret mode where you get to play as Riku. There are many hard bosses that you need a stradegy for. When you beat hard ones you're heart will be thumping so hard and you wil jump up and down saying "Thank you God!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when i beat sora mode I was so so so so so so so so happy. There are really helpful enemy cards that you get every time you beat a boss(for the final time).

oooooooooooohhhh....

First off, the PS2 version is kool. Play that before GBA if u wanted to know the story line. The reason why it has the same characters & bosses is because the game IS called "Chain of MEMORIES" KH is one of my top 10 fav RPG & I know Disney & Square won't let us down cause they are famous from cartoon n' anime.
Second, Who ever had seen GBA having FMV in them? The intro is in animated computer 3-D for crying out loud. Good for game play/movie quality type of people.
Third, this is kinda like KH 1/2 cause it introduces the hooded people known as "the unknowns" before KH2 comes out in 2006.
Great for a holiday gift & for RPG freaks like me.

This is the sizznit

I haven't played this yet but I know this game is cool. My friend has the first one and she literally is in love with Sora.Plus I seen the first one,it had a great storyline, this is coming from a 10 yr old.I like the graphics, plus I can play it on the Nintendo DS when I get it for Christmas. This would make a great Christmas gift(along with the Nintendo DS).If you a Gameboy Advance/SP you are in luck. Well parents, get this for your kids naughty or nice because it has all of the original Disney characters so you will know what is going on.Well here is my review for Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. Oh yeah, get your kids Kingdom Hearts 2 a little after 9/15/05 ok.This is Killa Bee signing out, Hasta Luego.

As far as reviews go, this is my first. And why, considering the number of RPG and action games I own, is this the first? I would have to say its due to the level of disappointment I have had with it so far.

I played first Kingdom Hearts on PS2, and honestly I loved the game. Even my wife enjoyed just sitting and watching the story unfold, and the interaction with the Disney and Final Fantasy characters throughout. I was eager to get COM when I first saw it was coming out for the GBA, as I wanted to find out what happened to Sora at the end of KH. I put it on my wish list, and my wife gave it to me for Christmas.

While I was eager to see the story unfold, I quickly realized that it was going to be a painful process to get through it, at least for me. The fighting system in COM, in my opinion, leaves something to be deired. While the card system they introduce is a somewhat intriguing concept, I find it difficult to deal with. Managing your "deck" is not all that relatively difficult, but a little cumbersome. But I find the real difficulty is during the battles themselves. You have to try and play a "card" that defeats the opponent's card in order to hit them or block their attack. This is fine and dandy, but trying to run around the screen to avoid getting hit while at the same time trying to flip through your stack of cards to find the one you want to use is a major pain. Then when you do find the one you want, you have to position yourself to hit one or more opponents before playing it, and then hope they don't play a higher ranking card to break through your attack and hit you instead, wasting your card. You are supposed to be able to set up card combos, but so far I haven't found that to be all that useful yet. While I have yet to find a battle that I ultimately couldn't win, I still feel that it takes too long to defeat even the simplest foes, simply because of the steps involved with the card deck. Perhaps once the deck is filled with all higher ranking cards the system will be easier to manage.

But getting to that point is taking too long for my taste. I honestly have not gotten all that far into the game yet, and I find it hard to pick up and play because of one reason: I am tired of the endless spawning of foes at an incredible rate, and marching through literally 10's if not 100's of meaningless battles. I understand that in many ways this can be good, such as the level increase possibilities, but it just gets old too fast for me.

Match these issues with the fact that the GBA obviously just doesn't have the same feel and capabilities of the PS2, and I have lost interest. I still want to know what the story is, but not sure if I will ever be able to get through it.

I gave it three stars because I think the concept and the story (what I've seen so far) are good, but the gameplay is just a little lacking and tedious for my taste.

only two little bumps..... but GREAT!!!

first off i want to tell you im not a seroius gamer at all, i just like to follow storylines and keep my self occupied. it is almost a scintific break through that my parents even let me get a game boy. i dont have any system no, ps2, xbox, gamecube, playstation. soooo anyway...... back to the gba game, its great!! !! !! !! =)! theres only 2 tiney probloms first off theres ALOT of talking and secoundly only in the beginning thers a battle EVERY step you take it gets kindove annoying but it ends soon after that, your home free you've got the whole game ahed of you, its a GREAT GAME!!

only buy this game if you loved the first or if you want to understand kh2!

i bought this game the day it came out 2 years ago- and got it for $7 because i used all my "Best buy bucks" from the Mcdonalds Monopoly game (when they had no limit on video games, unlike last year) and put them towards this. im reveiwing it now because KH2 comes out in a couple weeks, and if you decided to skip this game because you dont want to pay that much for a GBA game, you might not want to do that. it has a different story than the first game even though you go to the same places. the story that it creates continues through to KH2 and you'll probably be lost if you dont play this and want to play KH2. its a great game for under $10 but i wouldnt pay more than $20 for it. the battle system isnt great, but its not crap either. its different and takes time getting used to. its pretty much a love it or hate it situation. and if you loved the first KH and understood what was going on and all the twists and turns then you won't have any problems following the storyline in this game. i thought one of the best aspects of the game was being Sora, then after you beat that part, is the Reverse/Rebirth game where you play through the game as Riku. you definately want to play this game and beat both stories of the game, because if you don't, you will probably be confused in KH2, because the Organization XIII that you meet in CoM are in KH2 and is basically what the plot in KH2 revolves around. so, if you loved the first buy it and beat it for KH2!
