Bad! Horrible! How Disappointing!!!

For those of you who want to see a list of the game's good and bad qualities, see swordslayers' column, it's really detailed - good on you mate! Not bad after two hours of play.

Changing card rules are stupid. You have to keep the same rules! I do agree with skipping the phases though, because that's what they do on TV series. I also think the cards should include those from the TV series, otherwise how would you get the feeling that you are really one of the duelists? But the whole 'one type beat another' type of thing? Not my cup of tea. If I want to do that, I would go play Pokemon, not Yu-Gi-Oh!

Highlight is the Egyptian God Cards, that's for sure! But you can't play the 'Winged Dragon of Ra' (you can on the version after this one, with another different cheezy story-line), only 'Slifer the Sky Dragon' and 'Obelisk the Tormentor'. The fact that you can only hold five cards at any one time severely diabled your play in the sense that you can't get an edge with extra cards when you play 'Pot of Greed' or similar, like you can with previous ones. It also cramps the style of Slifer, as you can't do what Marik did, and use the 'Infinite Cards' combo to boost up it's attack points. The maximum you can get out of this Slifer is 10,000; what's the fun in that when you know they could have allowed to go higher?! It is a GOD card for goodness sake, 'Slifer the Sky Dragon' should have attack points where sky is the limit!!!

And 'Winged Dragon of Ra', what's with that?!?! You can't even play it!!! Winning it actually ends the game, which kind of kills the fun of the game, when you cannot control when to stop playing (basically forever if you want to even when you unlocked all the characters and got all the cards, if you are not bored with it of course!), like previous games, it actually has a finale, where you cannot see the finish if you want to keep playing and vice versa! You have to play stage by stage and build up points before you can use/get some cards; and most won't battle after they lost, so you can't go back and try out your God Cards on them, that really sucks! If you already have one and tried to use it on the limited players you can actually use it on, you will also discover that God Cards are always placed at the bottom of you decks, and since the AI are pretty stupid, you basically have to stall on purpose to draw and use them!

Also, I don't know whether it's just a glitch on mine or what; but if you are about to lose and reset the game, when you go back to play the same player, they would draw the same cards in almost similar order, so you can basically go back and beat them with ease! How silly!!!

you will get to use the god cards finally from start to finish you can bet cards and also the charecters will de harder to beat (thats good because i beat them so easy sometimes its not fun) i think you will be able to use master of dragon knight 5000attack and deffense the same as 5 headed god dragon and the bng(bold new graphics) not to mention the new exodia mini movie seen it will be worth the money (unlike how they copyed the first one added stuff jacked up the price and called it good)

Yu-Gi-Oh my goodness!

Everyone who likes the manga of Yu-Gi-Oh! will undoubtedly love the Sacred Cards. Following the storyline of the Battle City saga, you play as a custom character and you must take on the battles of the actual cartoon such as Marik and Kaiba. You can get all three gods, plus a host of other cartoon-exclusive cards that so many people would like such as Revival Jam, Dark Paladin and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. You will start from the Battle City Streets to the Kaiba Corp tower and I say its all amazing experiencing stuff! Get it - You'll be pleased.

SHORT!!! but fun.

I bought the Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition, and am still playing it. When I bought this one, I was thinking it would be more like Worldwide. Boy was I off. It's more like pokemon. Not that it's a bad game, but I bought it on a Sunday, played it off and on at work and home, and beat it by Wednesday, then sold it back to the place I bought it from the next Saturday. It was just a bit to quick for me.

It was harder to win duels, what with the "points levels" and "Gaming Level", and kinda annoying having to do everything in a certain order. Not like Worldwide, where you could play anyone in you first game.

I would still recommend buying it, as part of the series, play it, enjoy it, and be done with it.

They changed the rules T.T;

This game is too easy. I bought this game yesterday and I've played it for 2 hours. Now I have 4 locator cards. They've changed some rules. I'll list some negative things about this gmae.

There are no phases like draw phase, main phase 1, battle phase and main phase 2. You just receive a card on your turn and you can just do whatever you want to do. You can summon a monster and attack with it even after you heve have attacked a monster.
You can't activate your trap cards on your own. The computer automatically activates it.
There is no field magic card space so you have to use one of the 5 magic & trap card zones.
You can't look up your graveyard or opponent's graveyard.
Duelists are too easy to defeat.
Most of the duelists (95%) won't duel with you if you already have beaten them.
There is a card limit so you can't put strong cards at the beginning.
Certain monsters can't beat certain monsters (ex. pyro type monsters can't defeat aqua monsters no matter how strong they are. Aqua monsters can destroy pyro monsters even they have zero attack point).
If you open your trunk, you can see all the cards in the game even if you don't have that card. This makes you to build your deck harder.(You lose the excitement of the game, too, because you can see the cards)
Monsters change their attack and defence points depand on their types. If you're fighting in the forest, forest monters' attack and defence points are increased.
They've changed some of the cards' illustrations and effects like Monster Reborn. You can only special summon an opponent's last monster. Man-Eater Bug, etc. no longer have their special effects.
You're not allowed to have 6 or more cards in your hands but you can discard any cards whenever you like. You are also allowed to discard or sacrifice any monsters on the field.
You're not allowed to activate a monster's special abillity if you've already activated it. Also you can't activate it if a turn has passed after the monster's summon.

These are some possitive things about this game.

You can actually walk around the city.
There are many events from the TV show.
You can duel over 100 duelists.
There are some cards that only appeared on the TV show like Brain Control.
You can actually see cards' attack and defence points and cards' illustrations even if you dodn't press on them.
Graphics are better than the last version (Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition).
You get money instead of a booster pack. Whenever you win, 12 cards are randomey added to the card shop list. You buy any of the cards with your money.
There is a training machine. You can duel with it whenever you want to.

I only played it for 2 hours so I don't have any more informations. I hope this review helped you. Oh, by the way, if I were you I would definitely buy this game-It's so fun ^O^

Yeah right like you can get the god cards.......

Well you could get slifer and obelisk but when you get the winged dragon of RA (the strongest egyptian god card) the game is over. this game is great but im dissapointed about the cards their level are to low and to play with a labyrinth wall or zombira the dark you need to get 558 exp points. Maximum you could duel for is 30. Anyway this game is aswome for the one that like to play yugioh dark duel stories. (but if you play the version like world wide edition you woudnt like it. You could duel umbra or lumis and all the rare hunters. a ritual card like a hungry burger is 255 exp points. but in the other part this is the second best (Because of the cards) yugioh game

Pure FUN

This game will help you work on your playing skills. I'm an adult too. I loved it. You pretty much start from the bottom and work your way up. You start out with low level cards and find ways of beating your opponents then you exchange out your cards as you build up your skill level. I loved it. I couldn't put it down. I will recommend it to all card players.

Dont listen to the negative reveiws!

This game is amazing, Its the first Yu-Gi-OH RPG ever, the games main character is a boy who is friends with Yugi and co. And the storyline is changed so that your character participates in all the major events. You can even prevent Seto Kaiba from receiving Obelisk the Tormentor.

So so

This game is very good:
You can use the god cards, you can walk around, you get good promo cards: Riryouku, Ultimate Perfectly Great Moth and Negate Attack
But it has bad things:
You give back the god cards to Ishizu, not the same rules and it's too short.
If you like Yu-gi-oh, we can talk or play, my email is fedefut55@hotmail.com
Bye!
