The revolution in fighting games

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 0 / 1

I have owned this game for about 2 years now so I have played it a lot, and for good reason. This my second favorite fighting next to tekken(tekken is very close to my heart because it was the first fighting game I ever played on the PS1) So this game is great if your are a hardcore fighting fan!

Very brutal......very fun

My 2nd fave fighting game behind only Virtua Fighter 4 (yes, I think DOA3 is better that soul Calibur)

Dissapointing

One of my favorite games on the underrated Dreamcast, I looked forward to playing this updated edition (and launchworthy title) on the Xbox. Sadly, I never felt that it lived up to my original experience. Graphically, it is eye candy, but the controller interface never feels quite responsive or natural, and I found more frustration and boredom than the strategic excitement of the previous effort. The Xbox suffers from a dearth of good fighting and RPG titles, both of which hurt it's standing against Sony. This one does little to fill the gap, and though it looks better it's light years behind the enjoyment of say, Virtua Fighter 4 on Playstation 2.

its all graphics but has gameplay also (really 4.5 stars)

I just bought this game and when I first played it, I was amazed. The people are so life-like and so were the landscapes. The actual fighting is good also with bone-crushing moves and throwing people of cliffs. However, it is sort of a button-mashing game where you randomly hit buttons. Also under time-attack mode, it gets very hard and your opponent always counters your moves and has like 10 hit cmbos. Once you get over the graphics, you find a good, not great, fighting game.

Very good game

This game has a lot going for it, and is one of the best fighting games of all times. There could've been some better options, and the story mode could've been a little less fragmented, but overall a must-have for whatever level of gamer you are.

I bought the game, never played Dead or Alive before and beat the game in story mode with difficulty of normal in twenty minutes.

As a two player fighting game, nothing comes close.

The game that never could....................

Come on ! Get up the hill, you can do it !

Look your going to get this game to play with other people, because playing it alone ..., simply put. The game could have been a little better with a better story mode, as it stands now, you can bet story mode with EVERY player in a hour at most. After that your left with squat.

The look of the game is great, and there has never been one that has looked better, but looks alone do very little. If you like fighting games, this is for you, if your looking for something with depth, don't buy this one.

One of the best games, graphically, I have seen. I think you will have more fun playing this four player rather than against the computer. I would buy it again. Tecmo could have done better with the grab function on here. Sometimes it is a toss-up as to who gets the move; you or your opponent. If you like fighting games, cop this 100.

DOA3:OKAY NO REPLAY VALUE BY: Gamemaster Jason

D0A3 was one of the first XBOX games I got. I already had GC, ps2 and gba, so I wanted to try the XBOX... With it, I got a couple of games, including DOA3 a few days later. It was really good at first, but after I had dominated the too short story mode with about every character, I started to get bored. After a while, I started only using DOA3 when freinds were over for multiplayer madness, but that did not work well either. ...All I have to say is that it is your choice to get DOA3, since some people have different but sometimes wrong veiwpoints..
