Only reason why anyone would buy this game is for the babilicous characters. Any guy could instantly fall in love with the characters in this game, and i think that's why its REALLY been given such good press. There's nothing new, interesting, or original about this game. (...)
Not that big of a deal.

This game is surely the best fighting game ever put out on a console...but after I bought it I realized something, how many fighter games do we need until it is enough? The game is a lot of fun if you have several friends over and you play tournament style, but otherwise it is just a really good fighting game with excellent graphics.
wOw!!..another fighting game

Yeah, the game looks tight..but fighting games get old once you beat them with all the fighters..what's new?

A friend of mine introduced me to DOA2. This is no real change from it. I still like it tho. Having no real plot to speak of, (maybe something got lost in the translations to the English subtitles, who knows) the fighting is just as good if not better. The characters flow better and the moves are more complex. Perfect game to play with friends. As said before, no real point, just beat the (...) out of your emeny.

3.5 stars...very shiny, me likey shiny. "show your muscle" graphics make up for lack of character concepts (visual and fighting style) in this entertaining but a fighter is still a fighter launch. lacking the imagination of the tekken series or bushido blade leave this game mostly for the fighter @ heart and great for gaming with friends.
DA BOMB!!!

DOA 2 Hardcore was a poor rental. DOA 3 is just more of the same with better graphics. Environments are laid out the same as DOA 2 Hardcore, and the same button mashing interface is present. Boring.
Best Fighting game yet

I strongly feel this is the best fighting game out to date. Fighting games first off are not for everyone, as stated earliar, all you do is mass buttons until the other guy falls down or you do. However, it is a blast, and very very enjoyable. The game is very short however, so if you dont have friends who come over regularly, dont plan on this to be a very long single player.
The greatest thing about this game to me is not the graphics, but the realistic fighting. There is not jumping about and doing a dumb circle flip every single time you jump... Come on, how old is that? Would you see that in a real fight? someone just doing flips every time they jumped? ANd how many people honestly fight like frogs? jumping up and down? Few from my knowledge atleast.. This game is not "realistic" for you take far more punishment than a human body could take, but it is far far far more realistic than any fighting game i have ever played. Each characters fighting styles are based on real life fighting styles, and feature hundered + moves, and excellent animation on each.. No "ok, player 1 kicks, player 2 hits block then throw.. uh oh, since player 1 kick is lower than what the block animation is supposed to animate, 'teleport' player 1's leg into player 2's hands" no no no, none of that. If the kick of a burly character is lower than say a nimble female fighter, there is no teleportation to make the animation correct, it just actually does the correct animation needed. Player 2 lowers his stance or actually reaches down to grab that lower kick. Oh, and the graphics rock.
