gerat graphics... annoying to learn

1 Rating: 1, Useful: 0 / 2

the game has probably some of the best graphics i've seen in my life--it looks like real life. However, learning moves is rather annoying. A lot of the language for the moves is in Japanese, so it's annoying for those of us who don't know Japanese.

Fun but short

Dead or Alive 3 is the best fighting game I have ever played. The characters, moves, and stages are unique. The best part about it is how an opponent can be hit into electric fences, kicked off rooftops, and smashed through icicles and more. To maximaze the fun play with friends in single and tag battles. You're probally wondering "If this game is so good why did you rate it 4 stars". Thats because it is to short in story mode. You only fight 6 characters before you fight the master. The master is Genra and he is a big pain to fight. Don't get me wrong theres more than just story mode. You can play 7 other modes called Time Attack, Survival, Tag Battle, Team Battle, Versus, Sparring (or practice mode),Watch Mode, and Theater Mode, I reccomend this game to kids over 10.

Control problems, Huge Gamepad!

Man, is the Xbox gamepad huge! This game does suffer from some control problems, not as easy to learn or pull off special moves. And with the gamepad it's like impossible!

The girls are... nice to say the least. But that doest make up for an excellent addicting fighting game. The ending and storyline is laughable, but the different fighting environments are cool and change with you.

Doesnt have the cool storyline or features of say Soulcaliber, but a decent game.

Worst Fighting Game Ever

I am so happy I decided not to buy this game, this game is horrible. Yeah sure it has good graphics and stuff but after you beat the whole game it becomes extremely boring. It only takes a few hours to beat the game with everybody. There are no hidden characters. I wanted to give a 0.5 rating but i couldn't. I strongly suggest you rent this game first. This is the worst fighting game ever!

Good Graphics but lots of errors

I don't think that the playability was that great. If one fighter got an advantage then it is hard to make a comeback. Even though the characters look amazing, it still does not make up for the fact that it is hard to learn. Some characters are so lame, like Brad and OMega. Whats up with them? How about Donovan, who is he. The story mode is pretty cool and so r the graphics.

If you want to finish a game in an hour or two...THIS IS IT!

Poor at best. It was enjoyable while it lasted, but it didn't last!

Dead or Alive 3 for XBOX

What up? Xbox is awesome and it definately displays its awesome graphics in this game. However, the controls are really hard, in my opinion; I liked it better for dreamcast...

Great Game

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 0 / 3

This game has its ups and downs. One of the ups is multiplayer mode. There are 2 types of multiplayer mode, single and tag battle. They are both great but tag battles are more fun

One player mode is o.k. The story has no sense but what story mode does. One of the downs is that it this is a very short mode. ONe person wrote that they beat the game in 20 minutes(dude, y did u give the game 1 star?) 20 minutes is a long time to beat the game in, i bet the game in about 10 minutes. The story line is stupid but what fighting game has a good story line.

Overall, the game is great and is defenitly worth buying. Even if u get xbox towards the end of the year, u should still buy this game

Great Showpiece But not much more than DOA2

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 0 / 1

DOA is a visually beautiful game. The characters are almost too lifelike and the backgrounds are beautifully drawn. Unlike other games where the backgrounds are of little consequence, the backgrounds is this game can sometimes prove to be your greatest weapon. The fighting system is very much intact from DOA2 Hardcore for the PS2 but doesn't go beyond it. It plays exactly like DOA2, which isn't a bad thing but I would have like to see as much work done on the game engine as the graphics. I'm also dissapointed in the lack of costumes but according to Gamespot, Tecmo is releasing an add-on that will incorporate new outfits and features. I fully recommend DOA for fans of the series or those looking for a fighter on the XBox. Just don't look for more gameplay than had existed in DOA2.
