Great Game

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 3 / 6

This game is awesome, fully worth the price. It lives up to the legend of the original Mortal Combat. This has all the great gameplay of the original, coupled with graphics that rival DOA3. If you are able to buy this game do so, you won't regret it. The storyline is immersive and the finishing moves are a blast. My only regret is that it has no X box live support. Also check out Unreal Championship and DAO X-Treme Beach Volleyball.

This game RuLeZ!

Mortal Kombat was the first real action fighting game in pc history with blood and brutal fatalities! The new 3D look (Not as MK4, but much better than that...) gives MK a 'new life' and therefore MKDA will score real high in the 'fighting game -lists' !!!

Fighting game of the century!

First of all, MK: Deadly alliance is a good game. I have had the chance to play this amazing game at an October tradeshow in Dallas, and believe me, this is much better than MK 4. The graphics are really smooth, and there is no slowdown what so ever. And this time around, the characters actually move in a 3D world, and there are more than 5 different styles of fighting! There are roughly 22 characters, some being old favorite, and some being new. Depending on how you execute the moves, you can fight different styles in just one battle!

Speaking of executions, the fatalities are back, and they are awesome! The other -alities didnýt make it to this game, which is good thing, those -alities were getting old, and itýs nice to see the makers heading to a new direction! One thing that old MK fans might like is the some of the combo's. You can actually do an uppercut, keep the guy in the air and using air attacks, you can kill him in the air (I havenýt done it, but one of the demonstrator executed those moves perfectly)! That whole thing will count as a combo! Itýs a cheap little trick if you are playing against tough computers.

In the end, MK: DA will entertain you for hours, but it can get pretty boring after you master the game. If you liked MK: II, then you will love this. However this is an arcade game, so rather than being good with one character in the traditional 3d fighter (Virtua Fighter 4), you can easily master 4 or 5 characters at any time (most of the moves are the same, and there are 4 or 5 signature moves per character). If you are a concerned parent, then this game is NOT FOR KIDS!

MKDA will redifined fighting games forever.

This game features more stuff than you can think. And with over 600 koffins to unlock for surprises, it will be a game that will be played for a long time. Not like earlier versions that only take 30 minute to beat. This game is the best game I've ever played.

This is the most incredible fighting game I have ever played! The graphics are awesome, the gameplay is fantastic, and the fatalities are great! Virtually all of the original MK characters are in this version and they have awesome combinations in addition to old moves. The different fighting styles are awesome. It is very easy and quick to switch to a different fighting style. The environments on this game are incredible. There is also a great storyline to this game. There are many different challenges and tons of variations to gameplay. DOA 3 does not even compare to this game graphically or gameplay wise. This is the best fighting game you will ever play.

UNBELIEVABLE GAME

This game is off the hook, i bought it on monday and i havent stopped playin it yet. The fighting styles are outrageous, each character having three different fighting styles including weapons. The blood is so incredible, it remains on the floor throughout the match and when the match is over the loser just gets back up instead of a screen change. The grahics make the game so much funner to play and the combos look great when executed correctly. The only only thing that im a little dissappointed in is that so far in the game each character only has one fatality. Hopefully more will surface as time goes on because fatalities are one of the greatest part...although the fatalites in deadly alliance are still incredible even tho there is only one per character

Refreshing and challenging

When I bought this game, I was expecting a rehash of MK4. However, the multiple fighting styles are much more than a gimmick! This game will take weeks, if not months to master. And there's so much to unlock that it will hold its replay value! Pick it up if you're a fighting fan.

what a bust

I have been a fan since Mortal Kombat I. I knew this game didn't have babalities and pit fatalities and friendships before i bought it but thought it wouldn't matter. Well, it did. One finishing move per character gets old. Unlocking more characters takes forever. If you like games like DOA3 that require strings of combos then this game is good. If you wanted a game like the old Mortal Kombats then forget it. The fatalities are weak also. You can't morph into other characters with Shang Tsung either. Whats up with that. I bought the strategy guide also. After playing for several hours i returned it the next day for Ghost Recon. Now talk about a sweet ass game. Best trade i ever made

Like all fighting games, I wanted to see how fast I can beat it!.........at least with one character! Unlike Virtua Fighters and Takken, you can't just push random buttons hoping to massacre your opponents, you will need little practice. All characters, sounds and maps are dark, spooky and creative "the way it suppose to be"... the graphics are impressive and smooth. My 5 star rating is based on the whole playing experience to the smallest details: Camera movements are stylish, and just like kung-fu flix, blocking involves various combinations of harms and legs movements, not just an harm standing up like a tree! Ability to switch to different fighting styles may be the new standard for fighting games. I could say a lot more about this treasure, but if your a fan of fighting games, don't think, just get it!. Due to extreme violent content this game portrait; be ready to see raging parents and politicians attacking this title for a second round!
