The reason why I didn't give it a five is simple.
They didn't do hardly anything on graghics like they
did for the school in the first one. You couldn't explore
much either. I think that Silent hill 2 could have done a
little more to exceed its first one.

Yo, i thought this game would be scary and just mainly a puzzle, no, it was hilarious.The monsters cracked me up because they would act like worm.Also it is cool because after you have beaten the game and you are on your 2nd time though,You can use a chainsaw as a weapon.Now that is just cool.

i played and finished silent hill, even though it was a painfully bad game. but i heard a lot of buzz for this and figured that konami might have gotten this one right...well, too bad for me. thank god for e-bay because at least i was able to unload this pile of dung. don't waste your time. play resident evil instead.

I was expecting and hoping this game would be alot better. The damn fog makes it so you cant see anything, its not scary because the game is so foggy you barely see anything, and its really hard to know where you are going so you need to look at your map every 10 seconds. The game would be alot better if there wasnt as much fog and if there was a more realistic story.

The voice acting is amazingly poor in this game. Don't the people who produce this garbage have any artistic sense beyond graphics and sound? It's embarrassing. I would never let a friend see me watching a dialogue sequence in this game because her or she would think I was a melodramatic simpleton.

It's not very scary also, though I enjoyed the mood and textures. But there was way too much fog and poor lighting. I would like to see greater than fifteen feet for more than five percent of the time I'm playing.

To it's credit there is a lot a replay value though the game is short overall.

Rent this and turn the sound off when anyone tries to speak.

"I'm sorry...I'm sorry...I'm sorry...why...why...why...why...James...James...James..."

Started playing last night the graphics are great and the Sound is awesome. Playing by yourself in a dark room is great. This one is going to be a classic.

It's good till you beat it. ( and i wont spoil the ending)

This was an awesome game, some parts even scared the hell out of me. The graphics were good, the story lines intriguing, and over all it was just an amazing game. Ahhhh now you wonder why if this was such a good game why did I it such a bad review? Well the answer to this question is obviously the ending (if you haven't looked at the title of this review.) After I beat the last boss and after several hours of non stop playing, I began to get very excited by seeing the ending finally. But as the ending came to a close, I found myself throwing up in my sink. And this wasn't because it was ... it was because this was so terrible. I spent over 6 hours by the end to beat this game, 30 minutes of these 6 hours were spent watching the most boring ending I have ever seen in my entire life. And I've played Shrek's FairyTale Freakdown! If your looking for a good survival horror game ( Resident Evilish ) get this, but for the love of god turn off the power to your Playstation 2 and do not watch this ending! And whoever else said this game was good is either full of ... or they were as high as a cloud.

People say that this game is really scary and not to play it at dark,i have one thing to say to those people stop being babies and grow up.This game isnt scary at all if its anything its just messed up.
