both of them are a terible discrace to rts

I have the original just in case you are asking. The expansion basically has the same old terrible, disappointing gameplay, and sound effects. Okay fine the producers add like 3 more units to the existing eleven. Just like the original, the expansio lacks one basic thing the starategy. Like the original this game lacks the strategic element that most rts agmes have. The movies are terrible in comparrison to Red Alert 2. If you are a long time strategy vetran don't go for this one. Yes I now it get's lots of game reviews on tons of game sites. I don't know why. The gameplay is boring, bland, lacks strategy. You'd think that Blizard would have fixed some of tthe problems in the original but no!!! The build timeas are still insanely long. There are just to units to create the strategic diversity of most games. The single player missions will bore the heck outa you (just like me.) Yes this game is one of the most over rated things that I have seen in my entire life. I think people need to wake up and open their eyes and see Brrod war and sc the way it really is. The graphics are pretty good. The interface [is bad]!! I seriosly don't know what people see in this game and the original. What should you get? Uh try good examples of rts such as Red Alert 2 , Dark Reign 2 or ground control.

Starcraft brood war is basically the same as the original. All that's new is a few new units for each side and three new boring campaigns. First of all, it takes an eternity to build buildings. Big deal if protoss probes can build two buildings at once if each takes 5 minutes to build. Also all the construction units are way to easy to destroy and you have to build about 50 of them to have practically any resources. It takes an eternity to do anything except get your units and buildings destroyed. The only thing good about this game is the graphics are pretty good.

First of all StarCraft was a great game in my opinion untill the expansion came out. I play protoss and consider myself quite good but the expansion gives the Protoss and Terran some crappy units compared to the Zergs Lurkers! The zerg can get lurkers early in the game. So if your Terran or Protoss and your coming into rush them, you cant possibly win because the lurkers cant be detected unless you have a observer or something that can see burrowed or cloaked units. If your a Zerg player than Im sure you would love the expansion but if your a protoss player, than most of you probably wont care to much for it. Or at least wont be to exited.

this game is horibble i know amazon won't let others see it but if amazon lets me then people should read this i really wanted this game, then i got it i played for 2 months i hated it, it sux people! don't get this game no offense to blizzard. you should probobly get diablo 2 and the expansion diablo 2 is the best computer game i know of. if you really want starcraft than just get like warcraft frozen trone or sumthin lik dat. or u people can just wait for starcraft ghost to come out i heard starcraft ghost is going to be a big hit. so people dont get dis game plz. trust me i bought it i wasted my money on this game. so dont buy this game. ok :)

Soon after purchasing StarCraft, I knew I'd need the Brood War expansion set. Well, it definitely followed through on what I expected -- more and better missions, the story line continued and expanded upon, and the races improved through new classes / characters / creatures. (The Dark Archon [of the Protoss] can be downright scary.) If you enjoyed StarCraft like I did, and you haven't purchased this yet, there's no reason you shouldn't -- it only makes the gaming experience all the better.

Equalled The Races Too Much, But Still Great.

An amazing expansion to an amazing game. The new troops were clever and fun to use. I did find that they 'equalled' the races out a bit too much though. Were each race was different in it's own respect before, now they had either a similar troop or a great counter against it. Also, due to patches to the online play, the Zerg were seriously crippled for online play (they slowed their creation from the hive to a crawl). As a result, I found too many weakness in all the other races, aside from Protoss.

Still, when you have a hit game like that and all the fans want more maps more troops and more scenarios...how can you go wrong?

This is one of the best expansions ever! This game test your abilities to the max. It is more difficult that the first, but it gives you an edge on battle.net! It has more upgrades too. And it also has more cool units! It is the best expansion ever!

I love this game game a lot.It is pretty easy see look im a (EXPERT).OfCoursly im am an (EXPERT)So i only had to try 1 time to beat the Protoss. It took me the time to think about the Terran but i remebered and it was 3 times to bear the Terran. About the zerg it was about ummmmmm..... about 2 times to beat the zerg.If your buying this for a child or yourself you can beat it because it is tooooo easy. If Ican beat it I know you can so please buy this game for somebody or yourself cause you can loose randomely...... To help you all on this game. When ever you have it or buy it. The best thing of stradegy is to build..build..build units and tecknolagy.So the best thing to do is to build Dark Templar on ground units if there is no detector around. If their is a air get a Arbiter with some scouts at least 2 carriers and with all of its (intersepters).When you have a full force (AMBUSH) your opponent. Then keep making forces when you have like 36 people you are ready for attack. So if you buy this game or already have it do this and you will be unstoppable.Then please MADE BY DILLON MICHAEL TULLOS SO ENJOY THIS GAME BYE BYE EVERYBODY THIS TIPS ARE THE TIPS I USED TO BEAT THIS IT APPEARS THAT ALL OF YOU ARE UNSTOPPABLE SO DO THIS AND ENJOY PEOPLE OF THE WORLD \^

THIS GAME IS GREATE. BLIZZARD ADDED THESE COOL UNITS A LUCKER AND A DEVOUER FOR THE ZERG. SO A NEW GROUND UNIT AND A NEW FLYING ONE. A MEDIC AND A VALKYRIE FOR TAREN. ANH THE SAME AS FOR THE ZERG ONE NEW GROUNG AND ONE NEW FLYING UNIT. FOR THE PROTOS THERE IS THERE A DARK TEMPLAR YOU CAN MAKE THOSE A DARK ARCON WITCH CAN MIND CONTROL. AND A CORSAIR WITCH IS THE ONLY NEW FLYING UNIT FOR THE PROTOS. AS FOR HEROS THEY HAVE ARTANAS RASZAGAL DURAN AND STUKOV.

The original game seemed kinda boring but this expansion offered more maps for the general user. I suggest this game for all players!
