Starcraft(brood war) may be one of the best stratgy game ever produced.Ususally when stratagy games break the 2 race barrier the units become dull and boring and the originalty drops (cough cough AoEII).The units are original and when u first play it's always fun to build up the easy learned tech ladder,to see what u cna build.The gameplay is great and easy to learn,the recogmend what race u msut start first w/ due to story line purposes,the sotryline is awsome,THE MOVIE SEQUENCES RULE,i have to admit,sum missons can be rather hard,and DO get boring after repitiouse play,but that opens up a whole new sections of the game..multyplayer,this funtion allows u to play,over the internet,agaisnt other players,making rthe game infinitly fun.

I thought that nothing could be better than Starcraft. I was wrong. This doesn't have as many new units as I thought there would be, but there are tons of new missions....

the game is extremely fun and challenging. also the game has the best cheats.BUT the game doesnt have the cheats I want and also some games are just to hard and long.that is why i gave it four stars.

every person whos obsessed with strategy games such as diablo,warcraft etc. after you play this game you will have another obsession!this game is the best! the graphics are almost like reality and the game play is spectacular.Altough the single player mode ain't that great its good practise for skills on battle.net top play with other players.

This game is balanced very well in my opinion. People who say that protoss are too strong and zerg too weak are unfortunately newbies...disregard that. This game's single player gets boring, yet the multiplayer never loses excitement.

This expantion isnt as good as the first Starcraft because in this you get lurkers and cheapo units which skrews your game play up. I would recomend this but I like The first one better (mostly because people dont slauter me cheaply on battle net) So thats that.

This game is a lot of fun. The new units basically enhance the versatility of the game play. In single player missions, the protoss and terran missions are relatively easy. The zerg missions are little harder especially near the end. Some people I knew were not able to finish the last few zerg missions without using the cheat codes. So some skills are required for this. My favourite single player mission is Protoss level 8. I made mostly dark archons and captured the zerg units. Play this way if you have "a lot" of time. I captured something like 150 ultralisks, 100 lurkers, 300+ mutalisks (turned them into devourers and guardians), 50+ zerglings, 100+ overlords, 200+ hydralisks, and 50+ drones. By the end, the zergs will run out of resources and you can easily defeat them with your now quite "formidable" force. You can also play using strictly Protoss forces with carriers and archons etc., but it won't be as challenging. I love the multiplayer games as well. It is done best if you could have your partner's computer in the same room as you. Then the two of you could be virtually invincible (provided your partner is a good player as well).
Upside: it's a great game.
Downside: wasting too much time :(

like sc before it, bw is the best of all RTS w/ balanced species perfect layout, and great cutscenes :) it cannot be beaten!

this game is a little better then the first one but the single player was short. if u play on the internet then it will be hard to stay away from the computer.
