Great Multi- Player, Poor Single Player

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 1 / 1

Time Splitters 9.5 multiplayer 6.5 single player Multiplayer, this game is better than Perfect Dark and Golden Eye. It has more options then Golden Eye and not too many like Perfect Dark. It has 10 times better frame rate and hardly any slowdown. Plus you can play up to 14 people at once with hardly any choppiness. As for single player goes, you can play with one other person, but it doesn't help it much. It's pretty easy to beat on easy and pretty impossible to beat it on normal. Even level one is impossible to beat on normal or hard. It's crazy how much difficult they made normal and hard. Not only that, but you don't ever have to play normal or hard, because playing easy opens up everything. The challenges are quite fun though, even though they're pointless and stupid. They help you aim better and stuff. By the way, is it just me or was there any story to this game. I didn't catch one cinema that told what the heck was going on. Oh well. It's a great multiplayer game. Rating: 9.5 multi 6.5 single Mark: Must buy for multi/It was better than average. Worthy of renting single. Best Feature: 14 player multi, you against everyone else with 2x miniguns. Worst Feature: No story, ... single player.

Hmm, Can a game be sooo bad looking and yet fun to play? well, Time Splitters achieves this feat. How?? Please don't ask me. Control & Game play - A++. Graphics- F+. If only the guys at Eidos had taken their time to improve the graphics, this game would have been the best first person shooter ever. Go for it!!

Possibly better than Time Splitters 2

In this the weapons are better than in TS2(Times Splitters 2), it is alot cooler to select a character(it may have caused the long loading times), the music is more memorable(you have the option on TS2 to have the music of this...). The multiplayer is better in this than Halo but not single player. If you want to just shoot things this is the game for you if you've not got it yet.

a good game but a little to hard

Game review of the century

This game is good. Quite simply, there is no other first-person shooting game like it. I was skeptical at first when playing, because of the difficult controls. However, the controls take little time to understand, and a little more to master. Once mastered, the game is great. Though I only rented it, it was great fun. Great plot, great controls (though difficult), great single play, great multi-play, this game is perfect for shooting game lovers. I strongly recomend buying it, but only if you are at least semi-experienced in gun-games.

TimeSplitters - Ultimately The Greatest First Person Shooter

This is a great game. 1. First of all the story is VERY good for a shooter game. The story centers around an ancient race of powerfull beings called "TimeSplitters". They were awakened from there mystical sleep and now are passing thourgh the past, present, and the future changing events or things that happened in the past, present and future (For example: They took the plans for the A-Bomb and gave them to the Chinese Mafia) to change the course of time so they can take over the human race and it is your job to fix the things they've changed. If you ask me this is a very good storyline for a first person shooter.

2. This game moves very quickly, (over 60 frames-per second) so if your used to playing MUCH slower shooters like Goldeneye or The World is Not Enough, this game will seem extremly fast.

3. The control. It seem a bit akward at first but, if you play the game for about an hour you'll get used to it very quickly.

4. This game also has a nice arrange of music and is very suspensful at times. You might find yourself screaming when some1 jumps out at you in the Mansion Level.

5. The difficulty. You can only make it to level 9 by playing all the levels on easy difficulty. But, I am sure there is many more as you beat it on other settings. But, the Normal and Hard difficuties can be so hard it's frustrirating.

6. And don't forget TimesSplitters Best feature *drumroll* It's multiplayer mode! It has many different settings such as Deathmatch, Bag Tag, Capture The Bag (This is technically the same as capture the flag except it uses a breifcase looking bag for the flags) Escourt (you try to get a player from your team to the red circle at the end of the lever without the other team killing him), and many others. Also you can play all these things with only 1 person playing too!

7. TimeSplitter's also contains a level builder so you can build your own levels for unlimited play! This is a great addition to the game.

These are only a few of the reasons TimeSplitters is the greatest first-person shooter ever. BUY THIS GAME!

Don't beleive the hype!

I was very dissapointed with this game. After you read the reviews you tend to think that this game may have something but NO DICE. The game controls are clunky to say the least. The one player mode is not worth playing and the background story is lame. 2 player is a little better but there are only a few levels you can really sink your teeth into. If you've played 1st person shooting games in the past you will notice right away that it lacks the kind of interactive and expansive gun play that other games can provide. Four words, "don't waste your time!"

Not as good as Goldeneye or Perfect Dark

Although a decent FPS, it fails in comparison to the N64 titles that have dominated the console FPS market, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. Don't expect too much and you won't be too disappointed.

TimeSplitters is a non-stop action romp in the PS2 woods

This game is enthralling from the very beginning where u must get an item that's inside a mummy's tomb. From the very beginning, u must dodge bullets and shoot everyone that gets in your way. Nobody can stop the TimeSplitters except u, so give em a shotgun shell to the face.
This game is fast, fun, but not a very good game when it comes to depth. So if ur looking for a party game or a game u can play with ur friends- THIS IS THE GAME!
