This game is simply stunnging the multiplayer is just like golden eye and perfect dark. It's so awesome to just play with a bunch of friends and just blast each other then at the end find out what awards you got. Just so much fun!

A Must Have for 2-4 player action!!

This game is awesome. Although there is no solid plot, it doesn't really matter. The levels are challenging, but the main reason for buying this game is the multiplayer. In this game you can set the difficulty of your opponents, and there is a vast array of unique and powerful weaponry. You can play "Deathmatches" by yourself, or with 1-3 friends. At first, the controls are difficult to manage, but once you get the hang of it the game is elevated to a whole new level. The game-play is fast paced, and it is the best multiplayer since Goldeneye. This is an awsome game. (A reason for playing the missions is to unlock levels, cheats, characters, and challenges)

THE BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED!!!!!

This game is a masterpiece! It is incredible. The gameplay is super fast and the controls are awesom once you get used to them. There are a total of 64 players in the game and they are all FUNNY. The arcade mode is the best part. The multiplayer is really great, with almost no slowdown. I was playing one of the biggest levels in the game with four people, ten bots (computer controled players) and the game was still running above Perfect Dark's speed! There are a large number of weapons and though maybe a few more would have been nice, there is definetly enough. The weapons range from fusturistic machinegun/grenade launchers, to a blunderbuss! You can have the wackiest situations. For example, I am running through a village in the 1950's carrying a shotgun when out of a house jumps an alien with a tommygun and a zombie policeman with a brick in his hand! T he funniest thing is, this actually happened. There are a total of 18 levels to play arcade in. As for the one player, this is a very fun, challenging game. There are 9 levels, each with three difficulties and a timetrial for each difficulty. And that's just story mode! Once you beat the last level on easy (shouldn't take you more than two weeks of playing) you unlock challenge mode. There are 27 challenges ranging from trying to break all the glass panes in a level in 3 minutes, to a simple team deathmatch. In case you haven't noticed yet, the message I'm trying to send is: If they had it, I'd rate this game a 50! BUY IT NOW!

Just one more...

This game is great. The 60 fps are fanaminal. I like it much more than Goldeneye, yet when my friends played it, they seemed to get dizzy because of the rate of speed. The multi-player is the best. When I beat the game in easy, I thought, well, that was terribly easy. Then I tried Normal mode. I was blasted away as your strategy must change in order to beat this. I now have passed the game on Normal and have found many hidden levels for arcade mode. I especcially have fallen in love with Eidos's version of Duckhunt, which is one of the challenges. You are supposed to bag 100 machine-fun wielding ducks in 5 min. I still havn't passed it, but it is great. The story is mainly there to make arcade mode better, same with the Challenges. The story is set..well, there is no story, and the levels are mainly..well, the exact same. But if you loved Goldeneye, or Regular Nintendo's Duckhunt, buy this game, it is worth it!

Amazing So much fun!!!!!

You thought goldeneye was the best first person shooter ever, well time splitters has just been crowned the new king. Amazing graphics. Amazing weapons (from past to future) and amazing levels. The story mode isn't all great but the game and arcade mode make up for it. This game is a must buy. Best PS2 game on the market. Just waiting the arrival of NBA street!!!

Takes some getting used to, but well worth it.

When I first bought this game, the controls threw me off and I hardly played it at all, figuring I'd wasted 50 dollars. Then one day i sat down and finally got a hang of the controls, and it's easily the best FPS on any console today. Beats that perfect dark crap senseless. The multiplayer in timesplitters is fantastic, you can unlock a whole slew of levels and characters, and you can customize the weapon sets. Again, the controls are confusing at first, but Red Faction and other FPSs for the PS2 will be using the same style. Once you get the hang of it, its amazing.

Very entertaining game!

I haven't made very many first person shooter game purchases, not too many of the games kept my interest but this one is great! I will admit that maybe my skill level has declined on video games, I'm an old fart from back when everyone had the old Atari 2600; But even thogh I found some areas difficult I have a blast getting through it. I love the graphics of the game and the time eras as well!!! The 1935 Egyptian area was a great touch, and the 1970 China area is really funky; The Mansion is very difficult however its a blast!!!!! The best of all is the ducks and I still have quite a few levels to make it thru!!!!!!!

A masterpiece of the first-person-perspective genre

* * * * * * 5 stars isn't enough!

Timesplitters was one of the first PS2 games I ever played. I found it to be a showcase of the PlayStation 2's talents, with jaw-dropping graphics rendering, a superb game-play engine, advanced multi-user features and a fine soundtrack.

Story mode is involving and Deathmatch mode is exciting and serious player MUST find a partner to play with to really fully appreciate the features the game has to offer.

I cannot WAIT for Timesplitters II.

Wonderful at first

This game was one of the better ps2 games I had bought at first but then as my friends I played it more and more I grew bored of it. The game has a definite sense of humor when it comes to the characters and can choose and even the challenges in challenge mode. If you buy this game do not buy it for its story. You will be very very disappointed. The multiplater is what rocks this game at first. The whole time you play it your trying to get more characters and cheats you can use during multiplayer. You even unlock lots of new levels as well. This game even includes a level editor where you can create your own levels. That kicks some butt as well but after a while like I said I just grew tired of it. It may just be me because my friends have borrowed several times and they still love it.
