A good game overall

Two worlds is a fairly good game. It offers a vast world that takes a really long time to explore and introduces mounted combat, which is very fun.
There are some things like the reduced variety of monsters and the weather system that needed more work, but they don't influence too much the final result.
The most annoying thing is that this game was designed for PC and some actions that were meant to be executed with a mouse are a bit harder and more sometimes impossible to do with a controller, especially in the inventory and map menus.
The game had high goals to begin with, but being the studio's first RPG suffers from some minor setbacks and it doesn't raise it self to the level of The Elder Scrolls IV, but it is still a good and enjoyable game and my rating is 4 out of 5

plenty of ways to have fun here...

I got it the day it came out, played it 3 hours a day and loved it. The graphics suck, yes, but if you're a creative person you should be able to have plenty of fun... they give u a whole world to explore and countless things to do. The story kind of sucks, but by making it possible to find so many different items, weapons and armor, there are many hours of fun to be had by simply exploring. This is definitely worth renting, because you will be addicted to it at first and lose interest after about a week.

Not bad.

Graphics are fair. The text can be hard to read and seems to be made for a much larger screen (ours is 27" and the text was cramped and painful to read.)

The open map is wonderful, and having the ability to explore wherever and whenever is a plus.

CONS:
The dialogue is painful. All the voices seem to be done (badly) by the same person.

Having only one character option also kind of sucks, but it's understandable since it's a set storyline.

Over-all it was entertaining, but not something I'd play over and over again.

Worst XBOX 360 title I've ever come across

I bought this game hoping for a decent RPG, I was sorely dissapointed. I had to shut it off when my horse kept getting stuck on items in the environment, such as rocks and walls. The game will not let you get off the horse or dismount and you are forced to restart. I asked the employee at the game store and he told me that I should bring the game back becaue it is the worst game on the system. That is the first time I ever had a store advising me to bring back merchandise the sold to me. The game was shipped out unfinished with significant bugs. This game shouldn't even be given away.

Fun but easy to beat with some sly work.

Except for the most stubborn horses in history, I thought this game was very fun. On the other hand, it's incredibly easy to beat if your not one to follow the story line. Just jump the fences at camps/towns you can't get into yet. Most times you only need to do one faction quest to get into the towns. Also, if you save all your money for the first bunch of quests you can just buy sweet armor and weapons in a larger town and make quite an advancement quickly. An other thing, if you have problems with the end demon guy Reist, he is a large demon, and he can't walk through things very easily. Make yourself hard to get to if you can't dominate him. I ghosted him at lvl 33 after I respecced from a sword fighter to a cold damage ranged summoner type. I just led him to the mana thingy west of his area and kept running around the tree back and forth and firing ranged cold spells at him. I guess 30 foot tall demons can't walk over a 1 foot tall tree root.

Two Worlds is a keeper!

When my husband gave me Two Worlds for Christmas, I wasn't really thrilled. I had read a little about it, and I had never played a 3rd person view game that I liked (much preferring 1st person shooters and Oblivion). But I felt obliged to play it, so I did... and initially, I have to admit I really didn't like it much. The controls are VERY complicated and frustrating (until you finally figure out that there's a button to push that puts instructions up on the screen for you). Anyway, I was plodding unhappily along when I decided to try multiplayer on XBox Live. WELL!! I met up with some very nice folks who took the time to help me learn the game and some of its nuances, and now I am totally addicted to the game! I thought I would never find another game I liked as much as Oblivion, but Two Worlds is WAY bigger, and there's so much more to do. It does have a few graphics glitches here and there, but what game doesn't? My main complaint about Two Worlds is that you can't create a female character if you're playing the single player quest/campaign. But if you like Oblivion, you will LOVE Two Worlds if you'll give yourself time to get used to the different view and controls.

Don't waste your time

As my title implies, don't waste your time w/ Two Worlds. This game is totally unpolished and has a crapload of bugs, the most annoying of which, is freezing, which happened to me somewhere in the neighborhood of 25x while going through the game. NPC responses were weakly programmed. If you vary at all from the standard actions they don't react appropriately. For instance the mayor of a village is a werewolve that kills a women's sister. When you tell her she kills the mayor, well, before I told her *I* killed the mayor. Yet she flees the city because the guards want her because they, and she, think she killed him. These types of problems are all over. To be fair, some people that gave it a good review haven't finished it, and don't realize how the story line goes no where. I beat the game with the "good" and "bad" ending. Both completely sucked, not suprising with the lack of plot, and lasted about 6 seconds each. It is easily the weakest RPG story I have ever seen, and that says alot. I love RPG's and have been playing them since FF1 on NES. Comparisons to Morrowind and Oblivion are reasonable in that the style is similiar, but there is no comparison in terms of quality. Even if you get this game for free, it is not worth your time if you have the option of anything else. Oh, and the horse riding was awful.. they should have taken it out altogether and made the character run faster.

Amazing game!
