A good game. A classic game. Pick up and play fun!

Paul, Law, Bryon, Panda, King, Lee, they're back in the classic fighter that's as easy to play as it is hard to completely master. Not the difficulty and memerization of MK, but more solid punch/kick combos that are fun to utilize. Fairly good graphics. Fast, satisfying action that brings back the arcade memories in a good way.

Plus, it's got new characters that I don't remember from the older Tekkens, like Christie (nice outfit, by the way) and Steve (he's unstoppable if you know what you're doing - ultra hard AI doesn't stand a chance when I got Steve). The big flaw is that Heichie or whatever that older guy's name is wears what is essentially a diaper at the final stage. For God's sakes, I don't want to see some forty-something fool jumping around when only a thin band of cloth clothes him. Give that outfit to one of the female fighters, instead. Wouldn't that make for an interesting final stage?

Classic arcade fun. You can't go wrong here. I have merely tapped into the "next gen" console game library, so my only recommendations would be MK Deception if you like this. (Anyone out there reading this with a more extensive recommendation opinion, please write a review for shoppers like me and offer some other similar titles).

Note: Rated Teen for violence, and, in my opinion, also for those sensitive to gay costume designs (look at Violet and Marduk or whatever his name is - green tights?) No blood really, just energy flashes when struck.

hello i am a mager fan of tekken, soul caliber, virtua fighter 4 and the VF4 evolution games and i found them all very good. I have played every tekken game that has come out for ps1 and ps2 and i cannot wait for tekken 5 to come out. then tekken 4 came out and i thought yes got to get it as i love these games so much! i got it one xmas and i went straight upstairs put on my ps2 and i saw all the charecters and some new ones like christie, steve and marduk and i thought wicked ill try out these ones out! i got through the stages and finished it all with my heart pounding for a new charecter to try out and it was violet (lee in other words ) and it kept on going and i got all the charecters within a day and thought lets get there profiles and i still aint got them all but i thought i got all of them now what should i do now and theres loads of things to do like survival etc. i recomend poeple to get it anyway because its got a certain value to it that tekken 3 didnt see ya.

It is fun, exciting and truly awesome.

A game that wait long in Playstation 2 2 years ago since PS2 release at the end of October 2000. I played it and it was great all the way. Kazuya and Jin are hot. I like it. This game is absoultely recommended.

No way to increase the power-bar in the options menu !

This is my first Tekken game. I think that this part 4 has fantastic graphics, but I am unable to truly enjoy the game because the power-bars are so weak.

I am able to kill an opponent with about 9 solid kicks. This makes each round seem waaaaaay too short. There is no way to increase the power-bar in the options menu, so that your opponent can take more damage.

I also have Virtual Fighter Evolution. In VFE, you are able to increase the power-bars from 100% to 400%. This allows each round to be longer, and more importantly = more challenging !!

The second fault is that not everything in the environment is breakable. There are a lot of glass windows in the environment, but they are NOT designed to be breakable. Only about 30% of the environmental objects are breakable. I wished that everything was breakable.

WOW i went to my friends house to play this game and it has the BEST graphics from Any PS2 games I ever seen normaly I see PS2 games with TERRIBLE graphics but these are good Fighting is good too My favorite Character is A Boney dude with a sword and KING

Tekken is obviously one of the most popular fighting games in existence. With games for Play Station, Play Station 2, and Game Boy. Many different modes, and brand new charecters make this game new and slightly different from past Tekken games. You can choose from different outifts for each charecter, and some charecters have received new looks, such as Law, and Julia. Some charecters from past games are not on this one, such as Armor King, and Jin and Xiayou's mother. Although occasionaly disturbing, a cuss word in one part, and blood, I would recommend this game to older children. Younger children might be wrongly influenced by the vicious fighting and hate.

This is one of the best in the series introduces new characters,
new moves,outfits,(I specially enjoy Paul's shoulder smash as a finisher of an air juggle ) the whole nine ,they lack a little in background department compare to virtua fighters by missing meningfull details as sand track or sand for that matter on the beach stage.And the brakeable items seem a bit to square a little smoothing would have gone a long way, none the lest is a great game with solid controllers worthy of the series hopefully in Tekken 5 namco's team will fix those problems.

people on the game but its fun but tekken tag team is better

Namco has put out another solid fighter, yet I am left wondering, why did they skimp on this game? Sure, there are a few new faces in the game, but ultimately, I am left hungering for more. Hey Namco, how about a whole slew of brand new characters with completely innovative moves? The "Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu" guy is more like a huge kickboxer, with a small amount of grappling moves. I think this is still a solid fighter and one of the best (check out Namco's Soul Calibur 2) out there, but this should have had more to it. This feels like an expansion, and not a true sequel. Bottom line - if you want an in depth fighting game and don't already have Tekken Tag and Soul Calibur 2, then pick it up, otherwise wait for a used copy or Tekken 5.

Tekken 4 was one of the best PS2 games ive ever played. The graphics were amazing and the new added Story Mode was great. I learned so much more about the Tekken characters with Story Mode. I also liked the addition of the new characters like Kazuya, Steve, Christie, Violet, and Lee. I was disappointed that Eddy Gordo was not in the game though. Paul's new hairdo makes him look a little gay. I like the Mishima style fighting that Jin, Kazuya, and Heihachi have. This compares only to my other favorite PS2 games, Dynasty Warriors 3, and Madden 2003.
