the graphics

the graphics are mad ill and its better than tekken1 because the moves they were hard a long time ago but this game is the hottest right now you should get it in stores (everystore) on sep.27th&24th.

THE GAME HAS ALOT OF CHARACTERS BETTER THAN TEKKEN1,2,&3 IT ALSO HAS THE WE-MISS CHARACTERS WE PLAYED WITH. IF I WERE ALL OF THEM I WOULD BUY THIS GAME IN TARGET,TOYSRUS,ETC....

The arcade version is perfect, but when this hit the console, waste of counter space, commercials and posters.
GAMEPLAY: When you start out, you want to see every characters moves, what they can and cannot do, but when you played TEKKEN TAG or TEKKEN 3, you'll realize HALF OF IT IS THE SAME! 2 player is fun, but not when your alone!
GRAPHICS: Two words, ARCADE GRAPHICS! Same thing like GAUNTLET DARK LEGACY, except slightly better! The PS2 could do more than that!
SOUND/MUSIC: Now in some levels, theres a crowd behind you, thing is, THE CROWDS HAVE NO PERSONALITY. All it was to me was "yeah!" or "boo!". The narrarator with the sore throat is cool though.
OVERALL: If your gonna buy this, get it used! Either that or get TEKKEN TAG. That one was better.

Its not as good as Tekken Three or Tag Tournament .

Tihis game was personally a little disapointing for me. The graphics are wesome but other than that its not so great. For one the game play isnt as good as the original Tekkens and the music [stinks] period.The characters arent that great either I was pretty disppointed with this game.If you do want to spend fifty bucks spend it on Madden 2003 that is the best game.

The fourth installment of the Tekken series has finally arrived! This game is amazing! I give it an "A+" in graphics, gamplay, and amusement!

This games graphics are the best you can find around! If you ask me, the graphics in this game and it's sequel, Tekken 5, aren't that much different. In fact, I personally like this game's graphics better than Tekken 5's. This games graphics, absolutely no denying it, deserve an "A+", a 100%!

Another thing I liked about this game is it's tracks! This game has some different tracks played while fighting! They are not only different, they rock! They will keep your ears pretty amused! This game's tracks are something that I praise and acknowledge greatly.

Lastly, this game is a game that you do not get bored of easily at all! I personally love this game, and admire it even better than Tekken 5! It is just so awesome and original, and I personally think that it is the best installment in the Tekken series! This game has awesome gameplay, and awesome swift moves! Enjoy this games amazing and swift gameplay!

I praised this game as much as I can, but there is just one thing I must insult, and it is the lack of characters in the game! The game only has twenty characters in it, which is the only con/fault that I can find in the game! If the game had a few more characters, then it would have been the perfect Tekken game! Although Tekken 5 fulfills the character problem, since it provides about forty characters, I don't like it's gameplay as much as the original Tekken 4 style!

Rating: 9.7/10 Great game! A must buy for all die-hard fans!

Recommendation: Buy it! I can almost guarantee your 100% satisfaction! It is only $20.00, so go ahead and buy it!

Use Practicemode if you are eager to be a better player.
Ultrahard level CPU is awesome.
Tekken's key is to see moves of your enemy very consiously.
Gard, gard, gard and shot it when enemy can't move.

I`m a fan of Tekken 4. Tekken 4 has the characters by the names of Steve , Jin , Kazuya , Nina , Law , Lei , Bryan , the Polar Bear , Julia , Hwoarang , and other characters. My favorite characters is steve , Jin , and Kazuya. I also like Tekken Tag. Tekken 5 is out and i`m going to buy it

I personally think that Tekken 4 is the best Tekken yet! With great graphics and good gameplay, I think every gamer will find this game the best fighting game for the PS2! I think that Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore and Virtua Fighter 4 are way below Tekken 4! It has a wide selection of characters: Hwoarang, Christie Monteiro, Craig Marduk, Kazuya Mishima, King, Ling Xiayou, Steve Fox, Paul Pheonix, Marshall Law, and Yoshimitsu.

Every gamer who knows what a good game is should buy this game!

Tekken needs somethinf new or it lose.

I give this three stars because it is a good game, but just a little better then Tekken Tag. The characters' polygons is almost the same as it predecessor only the environment has a considerable upgrade. It feels a lot smoother then T3 and TTT. TTT gave us all the characters and now we have to go back down to 19 or 20? There is no Tekken Bowl or Volleyball, which girls would actually like to play. Good thing I only pay $20 for this. Hopeful, Namco does something more excitement in the next one or this franchise may become a Street Fighter.
