What's not to like? Most fun I've had on my PS2

Wow, what a great game. I rarely played my PS2 anymore. Fiddling around with the controller for hours started to bore me. But Guitar Hero changed that. The music is great and makes the game incredibly fun. The mix of different tracks lets you hears songs you normally wouldn't listen to, and that turns you into a fan of bands that may not be played on the radio. A great mix of popular radio stuff and quirky songs you may not often hear.

A True Hero

I purchased the Guitar Hero 2 Bundle (with guitar) for my grandson's 12th birthday. He had it hooked up and functional within 10 minutes. It's self-explanatory and easy to use. The quality of the guitar is good - it looks like it will endure the punishment of a group of 12-year-olds with no problems.

Graphics are exceptional. The game is easy to understand. Requires good hand-eye coordination.

Fun and addictive - good product

This game is VERY addictive. First the quality of the product when it showed up was good. I haven't broken anything and I've had it for over a month. If you haven't heard how the game is played then you've been living under a rock. The "game" itself has many layers of difficulty and it allows you to practice licks at different speeds so that you can get a head in your "career". My gaming background goes back to the old Nintendo 16 bit and I do have a music background. I think those w/o a music background have a harder time but they do catch on.
Get it and ROCK ON!

Disappointing song list

I LOVED Guitar Hero 1. I bought a PS2 just so I could play Guitar Hero, so I was really anticipating the release of GH2. On the positive side, the game play itself is much improved. I like the fact that the songs are broken down into sections so you can see how many notes you got right and where the problems are. BUT. The song list is too obscure. The whole POINT of GH is that you can play the songs you've loved and known. I only knew about 8 of the songs on the whole list. The songs I don't know are pretty hard core and I'm not very motivated to learn them. VERY disappointed. Next time please - less metal, more favourites PLEASE!

GET IT!!!

If you liked the original Guitar Hero, then you'll love this one. The hammer on's and hammer off's are alot easier to pull off. And if you have the original you'll need that guitar to play in coop mode. This game rocks!

This is a great game. It is even better than the orignal with new modes like practice and a head to head multiplayer. Even more great songs and unlockables add a lot of replay. Get it. Now.

Fun game

I don't know how much fun it is for the younger crowd but these were songs my fiance & I could really get into. The first guitar we purchased was broken and we had to send it back, but we now have a wireless guitar.

Mother, Never Surrender, and other classic rock songs are included. They also have a nice feature for practicing at slow speed, which is great for someone like me who doesn't usually play video games and who has never picked up a guitar.

When you miss the notes the songs sounds so horrible that it is actually funny. I can't wait to find a 2nd guitar so we can play together.

This game is so much better than the first one. So many more songs. I like the 2 player pro faceoff the best. Not only do you have the 40 songs in the career screen but you also have an extra 30 to buy from the store. It would have been even better if you could create your own character but the characters there are cool. The guitar colors are also better. Stickers are cool. This games is fun and will keep you playing for hours unless you start getting tired but you would still want to keep playing.

This is a great toy. It's habit forming and like the "Can't eat one potato chip", you just keep wanting more. It's a good hand-eye coordination practice, and rewards good dexterity. One thing I must mention- I never get thru a song before it tells me I'm no good and aborts the song. My 9 year old grandson(it's his game) enjoys me trying to play, he laughs at how bad I am. I hate that game.
