I'm usually not into many video games but when I played this over a friends house, I had to get it. It is one of my favorite games for PS2. I play it often but it is difficult for me to get past medium difficulty (I'm working on it) I enjoy the alternate characters,the option to buy guitars and outfits. Also, I like the stickers that come with the set to customize the player's guitar. I wish the game had more great songs, but I will just have to buy another guitar hero game, which I'm sure will be worth it. This is an awesome game and I would definitely recommend it.

I got this for my daughter's birthday. She's 9 and she absolutely loves this game. She also handles the guitar controller that came with this game better than her wireless one. This is a great product for people of all ages.

I Purchased this item for my 9 yr old grandson for christmas and he loves this product.The whole family plays it.I'd recommend product to anyone.
Also Amazon,s shipping has always been fast.

personally i like the song choice in guitar hero 2 better than the other versions, but i'm such a fan of guitar hero in general that my opinion is way biased in the positive direction. this game has a lot more metal songs than the other versions, which is kind of annoying but the other songs are sweet

This game is VERY addictive. First the quality of the product when it showed up was good. I haven't broken anything and I've had it for over a month. If you haven't heard how the game is played then you've been living under a rock. The "game" itself has many layers of difficulty and it allows you to practice licks at different speeds so that you can get a head in your "career". My gaming background goes back to the old Nintendo 16 bit and I do have a music background. I think those w/o a music background have a harder time but they do catch on.
Get it and ROCK ON!

this really is one of the best games ive ever played its so fun right off the start even if u suck u get alot out of it and its so rewarding getting good at the game cause it just gets funner the better you are i deffinatly recommend this game for anyone for a gift for kid or even adults

My two children (ages 13 and 10) saved up to buy Guitar Hero II and they are really very happy with it. The wrote a contract to promise to play together nicely before I would place the order. They also have friends who come over to play, and they all like to 'practice' playing in order to succeed at increasingly harder levels, earn virtual career pay and unlock more songs and equipment.

My thirteen year old is already playing nearly the full contingent of songs at Expert level, and I'm sure it won't be long before he will want a more advanced version of the Game.

As a parent, it would be good if there were supplementary disks available for purchase to bolster the song book of the game instead of having to buy the next game, Guitar Hero III. It would be great if we could buy them by theme or artist, such as a Pink Floyd song book or a Beatles song book, or a 70's/80's rock band song book.

It is a great game, I find myself sitting for hours playing this game. And I don't even like video games that much/.....could have more songs though
