Superfun. I have played it all the way through on each skill level, easy, normal and hard. Hard is really hard! The graphics are fantastic. The game looks, sounds and feels like the show. I love the little quips from the vamps and Buffy! I hated having to fight Spike, because I like him so much on the show. It just seemed wrong. And it is such a hard battle. He's tough! I don't think I ever fought him without losing at least half my health.
I love that Alyson does her own voice! And her cute little jokes. Anyway, don't listen to anyone, this game is rock solid fun. I played it and played it until I got so good I was sick of it. I'll probably play it again in a year or so.
The hardest battle is with the "tiger." I battled over and over again until my fingers were tired! After about 5 or 6 hours of gameplay I finally figured out that there's a trick to killing him. Once you know that, it's easy. But you have to know how. I won't ruin it for you. All that battling taught me how to fight better later in the game.
A+. After Halo, this is my second favorite Xbox game. #3 is 007 Nightfire.

If your a Buffy fan or not, this game is a major must! It is so much fun with awesome graphics and missions! You go everywhere from The Bronze to Angel's Mansion. You've got Spike as the ultimate villan along with Drusilla and the whole Scooby Gang: Willow, Xander, Cordeila, and Giles along with the brooding Angel. There is never a dull moment! The missions are super fun and you will find yourself never wanting to put the controller down. YOur out to rid the world of Vamps and evil feins Buffy style. There are so many great weapons to choose from. You've got your typical stake, shovels, hell-fire, cross-bow, holy water, an awesome hell-fire gun and much much more. There are your average vampires (girls and guys), then you have the vamps on steroids, spiders, dead zombies, skeletons, bats, . . . you name, Buffy's got it! I play this game ALL THE TIME! You can even set the games to easy-normal-hard. This game is a must . . if you just play it once . . you'll be hooked . .trust me!!! I highly highly highly reccomend it!

i've seen previews/reviews on this game in the XBOX magazine and it looks awesome.........the graphics are great..........and the show would make a good action/adventure game!!!!!!....Sarah Michelle Giller looks so real in this game..........it scary!!!!!!

Great game...Lots of action not to easy not to tough...Great sense of humor. If you love the show you will love the game. But even if you dont pay any attention to the show (I watch it occasionally) you will love the game.

this game is pretty cool, i bought it at amazon because of the good price and it was well worth it. this game is full of action and adventure. i recommend it for everyone, even the non-buffy tv show watchers. i admit i don't watch the show, but the game is cool. i must say that the dialogue from buffy is repetitive and corny. but overall the fighting system is great and you won't regret it.

For me, the game is thorroughly entertaining and follows many of the characters to a "T", including Angel and Cordelia as the were in Season Three of Buffy, with Angel being Buffy's lover, and Cordelia contstantly trying to underplay Buffy's heroics. The characters even look like the actual characters as played by SMG, Allison Hannigan and the others, in almost an earily realistic way. The characters lines are smooth and very realistic, making the characters the most realistic looking characters in video games to date.What's the game about? Well, in assuning that you're somewhat vaguely familiar with Buffy, (and shame if you're not) two old enemies of Buffy's return; Spike (before he and Dru broke up, and before the leash was put on Spike) and the Master(who was killed in the season 1 finale). It seems as though the Master is using Spike to help him pick up right where the Master left off...on trying to bring Hell to Earth, and Buffy must go on a quest to stop the Master, and eventually saved the Earth from Hell...again.
Of course, all of the witty banter and insults that were popular in the series are in the game, and there are tons of weapons that Buffy can use, including a water gun that squirts both Holy Water and Hellfire, a razor-sharp blade that can be either a hand-held weapon or a boomerang, but nothing beats a good old stake through the heart. Of course you can just use the very elements around you to kill the demons, my favorite is kicking a vampire against an overturned table, or a oil drum that automatically explodes when broken.
Of course, Spike and the Master aren't the only vampires who are in the game. There is an endless army of vampires and demons, demon dogs, flesh eating spiders and other things that make Buffy say "gross".
I'm hoping that they put out a sequel to the game in time for next fall, maybe next time using characters from the later seasons, as I sadly missed Dawn and Anya in the game.

It's cool to see Buffy kicking butt on the show. But the kicking and the punching are just a small part of the show, and the rest is story and character. The game, however, is just you running around as Buffy punching and kicking and staking a lot of various creatures and vampires that use the same old sayings - female vampires, for example, have the annoying tendency to say this over and over: "Chick fight!" Ooookay. The design is nice, the overall look of the game is really quite good, and it's nice to have all the actors from the show using their voices for their gaming counterparts (well, except for Sarah Michelle Gellar - she's the only one absent, and instead they use some actor that sorta tries to sound like her).So, if you like kicking and punching and staking and running around and then more kicking, more punching....then you'll love it. But I found it tedious after awhile. Just like it WOULD be tedious if the show itself was all a bunch of kicking and punching. I wouldn't want that on the show, so why do they think it's good enough for a game? To me it shows a lack of imagination by the creators.
The most annoying feature of the game is the SAVE system. I hate games that don't allow you to save when you want. Instead you have "checkpoints." If you don't reach the checkpoint, if you somehow die, well...tough luck, you have to start from the beginning of the last checkpoint. And that's just plain frustrating and annoying.
But hey, it does look good. I mentioned that, right?

It is important to wait until somebody who has played the game reviews it so that they can tell you about the important things such as gameplay, frame rate, and how many bugs the game contains. More importantly they can tell you if it is fun, rather than rambling on about screenshots and the premise of the game like most of the fools who have posted here do.
