Hunter The Reckoning is a great game. Since I bought it I can't stop playing it! It's one of the best Xbox games out there. The graphics are really cool, and my buds really like the multiplayer feature as a team. Its a ton of fun to go around killing zombies, and freeing souls, especially when the camera angles make it even more challenging to complete the missions. Yeah, this is an awesome game, that needs to be in everyone's collection!

Had alot going for it, but that's not saying much.

I bought this game. It had a good start with the cutscene at the beginning. It really had an interesting plot: A prison is torturing inmates by experimenting on them or something so they come back from the dead and try to kill off the town, along with other creatures working with them. The game also had a dark atmosphere and that's a high point. Unfortunately, most of the levels require you to kill zombies and rescue people. Because of this, the game gets old. I actually enjoyed the cutscenes more than playing! What could have been a great game is destroyed by pointless objectives and the storyline is ignored.

no fun at all

we all play halo for hours on end at work and i was looking for another 4 player game and this seemed like the a great choice based on all the reviews i read. so the four of sit down and try playing for about 15 minutes, decide the game is simple, boring and you just pull the triggers alot and kill numerous zombies, it takes no skill. we turned it off and started playing halo again.

I am absolutely amazed some people gave this game reviews higher than a 1. I would give it a 0 if possible (or less).

Here's the scoop.

1. Bad game play. Hard to play because the camera angles are all screwed up, and make it difficult to enjoy the game. Playing this game consisted of several characters you can choose to be, none being any good, and using weapons to fight off zombies. The characters were small, and looked like something found in a cheap pc game (one that never made it), and came at you in hordes, and you fought them off watching from a strange angle way up high using weapons that were hard to use accurately. This game could go down in the hall of shame for its simple, noninteractive game play. Most children's games anywhere from ages 3 and below are far more realistic and intense.

2. The game consisted of wave after wave of zombies coming at you and nothing else. I kept wondering what the point of this game was, but there was no point. I got very bored very quickly. I wanted to try the game out so I kept on with the game, but it never improved.

3. Graphics are very uninteresting. A four year old would not be impressed.

I really think this game should have never been released, and God forbid anyone actually paying 49 dollars for it. Don't even wait for the price to drop. It is not even worth renting.

To sum it in one word: Pathetic.

Horrible

I rented this game and its terrible. Its extremely repetitive, you just go around punching the same button in front of different enemies. Graphics are pretty good but the replay value is nill, multi player only forces you and your friends to suffer, and there's no strategy or skill involved. There's my .02.

Not what I was expecting!

For those of you familiar with the pen & paper Hunters, and are looking for an electronic version - this is NOT it. If you played "Vampire the Masquerade Redemption" on the PC, again this is NOTHING like it. If you want a hack & slash game with tuns on glitches and next to no story line, this is the game for you. Unlike what one may expect of a game based on a role-player game, you cannot distribute experience point to customize your character, nor can you upgrade weapons & armor. You can only aquire the weapons you find (which are severly limited), the only time you can save is at the end of each level, and the controls are overly complicated. This is a linear game with non stop hack & slash. The only good point to the game is the graphics.

Move over Gauntlet

This game has a very familiar old school gauntlet feel to it.
With the exception that you cant keep feeding quaters in, you must earn your extra lives to keep playing. This gory relic is a lot of fun to play single player, but the multiplayer features (where it should shine in my opinion) are depressing. The way the camera pans to follow one player or another, it is very easy to get your friends stuck behind objects or in a horde of the dead.. Baldurs Gate uses a much more user friendly camera panning system allowing either player to pan the camera at will...
3 stars - worth playing, especially at the lowered price.

Entertaining action game

This game has a great soundtrack and fantastic graphics. The controls are very responsive. Cool missions. Tough missions. Can play up to 4 players vs computer. It's really creepy. The player development part of this game almost makes it role-play/action. Although the gameplay is all action.
Cool spooky gory game! Not for kids.
