The most Addictive Game I've ever played

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 2 / 4

Everquest is single most addictive game I've ever played. I've racked up over 1400 hours playing this game since last November. This game has more facets than the Hope Diamond! And its affect can be as disasterous to your social life. The game has scores of zones to explore. Hundreds of quests to resolve (some of which are Broken) Monsters to slay and loot to collect. There are on average 70,000 people playing this game on a nightly basis. Many of whom have been there a LOT longer than me. I can see how some would find it boring because nothing is as easy as it should be. This is a thinking man's game. The more you play it the more addicted you get. I see a lot of youngsters try it and leave quickly.

After reading the reviews hear I only have one thing to say...IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT PLAY IT...Griping aint going to change it. The folks that do enjoy it would probably enjoy it more if you weren't there anyway.

Now that I've got that out of the way.

Most games out there today are played and completed in a finite amount of time, and I believe thats what the complainers are complaining about. They want a game that they can see the end to. This isn't it. You can play for months and the end is no where in sight, if there is an end. If you get tired of it, walk away for a week or two or even longer, but you will be back making new friends and enemies.

THE GAME IS GREAT!!!!

This game will CONSUME you...

I bought this game at the recommendation of a friend, and its been all uphill from there. This game is so satisfying that it leaves the player yearning for more not unlike the third book in an awesome trilogy. You simply cannot wait to enter new areas and sample new things in this near perfect online rpg. And, last but not least the people that you meet in this game are just like yourself (DOOMED TO AN EXISTANCE OF ONLINE RPG WORSHIP) they help one another and act in most ways like a team of people trying to forget about the stress and problems of life if only for a little while. Pick this one up, you WON"T be dissapointed.

Everquest is by far the most fun, most original RPG of its time. It was before ashrens call, before diablo 2, beforew all the WANNA B everquest. This game hold ober 400,000 active people willing to pay the 10 dollars a monht because it is so much fun. I personally have been playing for about 2 years, and of the people i know in real life and through everquest, most people who bought the game more than 2-3 years ago, still play it. It is an everchanging world that will keep you on your toes, this is truly a game to buy. The one, and there is only one, con is that it is some what addictive. It is such a good game that it may consume you. It has me and people i know, but as far as im concerned that is fine by me.

I orginally started to play this game at a friends house. I became very addicted to the game and I have it in the mail coming to me very soon. It's great for anyone who likes to play AD&D. It gives you a nice graphic view of many of the characters that would look like from AD&D characters. You can either play solo or group up to level up. But grouping is the easiest way to Level up quickly. There are tons of monsters and lots of different types of characters to play and the style you want to be in. There is magic, warriors, monks, wizards ect in all different speicies. This game is great to kill any time, but the time does fly by on this game, so make sure if you have a date to some where, you keep track of time. What i like about the game is, the first month is free, almost like a trial, after that its up to you if you want to continue to play it. There are tons of servers to play on, so if you don't like one of the servers, try another until you find one that you appriciate.

An excellent expansion, if you're new to the game.

This is the first expansion I bought for EQ, and I found it was perfect for me, as I was what people tend to call a "Newb." This game, in my opinion has fair graphics, good quests, and the Iskar is a fun race to play. The only thing lacking of this expansion, would have to be the lack of places to gain experience and level up at. If you have no other expansions, I would recommend purchasing "EverQuest: The Shadows Of Luclin" before buying this one. For one thing, with Luclin, you can go to Paludal to gain pretty good experience... You also get to go to the Bazaar, which is a pretty fun place. All in all, buying this expansion is a good plan, but if you have the money, you should buy the Luclin expansion first.(Well, technically, you should buy the EQ game itself first, before buying expansions, but you know what I mean.)

Stay away from this game!

All this game is constant fight, med, fight, med, fight, med. You literally spend 90% of your time sitting doing absolutely nothing (mostly meditating to regain your health). You do the same thing over and over and over and over.

Verant also has VERY poor customer support. They do not listen to their customers, and they will literally ban you because you say something negative about them on their message board. I know because they have banned/suspended me because I said something negative about them.

Even the graphics of this game are outdated by todays standards. The game is literally a waste of time.

This game is the MOST addicting game ever made. They give you the first month free so you can get through the first "What is going on stage" and get straight to the addiction. But the game IS worth the 10$ a month!!! You will not mind the time is takes to get the levels to move forword because you will love every second.
