MK:DA is an okay fighting game, but there's better ones out there. Mortal Kombat just isn't what it used to be. Still, though, this is a good game that will last you a good time. Slightly recommended; rent before buying.

(I'm going to replace all the "c"s with "k"s,just for fun!)Mortal Kombat:D.A. is a really good game and all, but the kontrols are absolutley horrible!!
But everything else is fantastik! I've beaten it with every kharacter and i've beaten "Konquest Mode".
I have also unlokked everything in the krypt.
You should definitly buy this game,it's wikkidly bloody and kool! This game should only be played by Teens!!
Bekause it's way to violent and bloody for the squirts.

All right this game was very cool but some things bugged me like frost that charecter is just a ... ... and the game was way to easy to beat but atleast they give you things to do after you beat it like getting new skins for your charecter but I do admit this game was harder then mortal kombat 4 and a better story line. Yet once again my fav charecter Scorpion even though I beat the game with him he gets killed. When will scorpion be able to have his revenge and not die.

heres what u get.a great storyline which you can learn every fighters storyline in konquest. did i mention the game modes? the modes you get are cool.the konquest mode is training which you learn the moves and combos.you get practice and vs (as usaul)and the krypt.the krypt is what makes the game fun.once you get the different types of koins you can get various items (sktechs,characters,alt. costumes,mk komedy and levels)the game is addicting.the only bad thing is there is only one fatality per fighter.

p.s the blood is hilarious.million of gallons of it oh then theres the blood in the gameplay.there is also bloody chunks of organs

this game is pretty boring. the combat system was a bad idea from the start. each charachter has two fighting styles and one weapon style. seems like genius, but you always find yourself wasting valuable seconds while your switching styles. one weapon and one fighting style would have been much better. gameplay is also very boring and the charachters dont look cool when theyre fighting. they look like dancing fools that been smokin somethin.
Fighting games usually have the best graphix. not the case with this game. the charachters look horribly squarey. The charachters
dont talk at all so their mouth never moves. The fighters have the same solemn face throughout the game, never changing their expresstion. The blood spills are very real though. The charachters face even gets bruised and bashed as he/she takes a beating. the screams that dudes make when theyre hit or are hitting are exactly the same for a couple people. theres only like a few different screams thats divided amongst the charachters. The least the makers coulda done was give each charachter their individual sounds that they make. the krypt is a place where you can buy stuff using money that you earn by winning fights. theres like 600+ stuff you can buy! Don get too exited though it's mostly junk like sketches. and you dont know what you bought until you open the koffin. and some of the coffins are empty or just give you extra koins. this was a pitiful attempt to score high in the length catergorie by critics. you should spend your money on a better game

I haven't played any other fighting games in this genre but I can't see any other fighting game better than this. The challenges, levels, and combinations will keep you occupied for a year. The graphics are awesome!!! Very addicting, challenging and fun!!!

Sonya, Jax, Kenshi and Cyrax rock...they are my elite team! Drahmin is "Pigpen" on steroids..he sucks!!!

this game got to be a classic because the graphics on this game. but,one thing i don`t like is liu kang is dead.hopefully they will have liu kang on the next game.scorpion is the leader in this game. shang tsung to

How did Mortal Kombat get worse on PS2?????

For the first time since Mortal Kombat 1 do we find ourselves with one finishing move per character (most of which [stunk] more than a weekend with richard simmons). They tried to make a three stance fighting system work with MK and failed, the addition of weapons might have impressed some people but all in all was a let down. Further more the lacking of background fatalities was another let down. The only redeeming factor for this latest installment was the graphics were pretty nice, and the crypt feature was a little cool at first. But all in all you'd be better off if you skipped this one.

I've been a Mortal Kombat fan ever since Mortal Kombat came out. Ever since, I've been supporting Midway for their great games but the fun really started to stop when they released Mortal Kombat 4. Now everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I really don't like it when other people start dissing you because you disagree with something.

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance is a great game with great graphics and great new characters. Shang Tsung (boss of MK) and Quan Chi (from MK4) team up to resurrect the long forgotten Dragon King's unstoppable army. According to ancient history, the Dragon King was known to rule Outworld before Shao Kahn. He is now locked in a giant egg that Blaze looks after in the pits of a volcano (remember seeing a flame guy fighting someone else on another bridge on the stage called 'Pit II' from 'Mortal Kombat 2'? That flame guy is Blaze).
Our favorite warrior of MK, Liu Kang, dies when Shang Tsung and Quan Chi hunt down the 2 warriors that could stop their plans. Liu Kang's neck was snapped and the 2nd warrior was Shao Kahn. After they got these 2 out of their way, the 2 evil sorcerers started to collect souls to resurrect the army.
Meanwhile, Raiden gathers Earthrealm's warriors to stop the Deadly Alliance.

Expect to see appearances from original characters like: Sonya Blade, Scorpion, Reptile, Shang Tsung, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Johnny Cage and Kano
Also to appear are old characters like: Cyrax, Kung Lao, Quan Chi, Jax and Kitana
New characters are: Blaze (the flame guy from MK2 on Pit II), Bo' Rai Cho (a master who taught Liu Kang the Flying Kick technique), Drahmin (a deadly Oni who made a deal with Quan Chi that if he killed Scorpion, Chi would get him out of the Netherealm), Frost (a female version of Sub-Zero, part of the Lin Kuei), Hsu Hao (a wrestler who is part of a clan that hate the Black Dragon), Kenshi (a blind warrior who seeks Shang Tsung in hopes of defeating him for blinding him), Mavado (leader of the Red Dragon, a clan that wishes to exterminate all of the Black Dragon members), Li Mei (a Mileena-look-a-like who wishes to free all of her people), Mokap (a secret character, friends with Cage) and Nitara (vampire blood sucker).

What I like about this game is that they have given each character a second costume. After years of waiting to see what Scorpion would look like in a skeleton mask, my wait has finally come to an end. Most of the costumes for each character is good, Kitana's 2nd one is Mileena's costume, Sub-Zero's one is his older brothers masked costume (which I like better), Reptile's one looks nothing different from his original costume (wish he had his ninja costume), Raiden who looks totally different and better in etc.

Fatalities on this game is something that is not really worth seeing. I was hoping for some better fatalities but it seems they are not that good. They have even removed some of the original characters classic fatalities like Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade and Scorpion. Some I like heaps are: Scorpion, Shang Tsung, Raiden, Kung Lao, Bo' Rai Cho, Drahmin, Cyrax (a wicked one!) and Blade.

Overall the game is real good but I find I enjoy the older games better (MK-MKTrilogy). But the one who can give this game a fair score is yourself because everyone thinks differently. Worth renting, just play it and find out what you think about it.
