I love mortal kombat games, but this one just seemed week. There weren't that many players available. Deception has all of the players unlocked.

This is the first Mortal Kombat Fighter game relested only on home systems. It is a blast for any Mortal Kombat fan. The crisp Graphics and intencly deep story line all make for one of the best Mortal Kombats ever.

Loads of Fun

I recently purchased this game and have found it to be extremely addictive. Each fighter has its own unique fighting style and cool combination of moves which make the game not only fun but challenging. The higher up you go is the more difficult it gets and the quicker and more accurate your skills need to be. You find yourself not wanting to put down the controls so that you can get to the next level. The practice mode is quite useful in figuring out the combinations that best suit each fighter. Playing with friends is even more exciting. Sometimes when I sleep I find myself dreaming about the game. It is a must have!!

Decent, but Deception is better

Mortal Kombat's triumphant return with "Deadly Alliance" leaves somewhat of a sour taste leftover. The plus side is fatalities are easy to execute, however, each character only has one fatality, and some are downright silly. Deception plays the same as this game, but has a much better Konquest mode, better characters, and more fatalities. I only reccomend getting this if you want to play as Quan Chi, Kitana, Shang Tsung, Sonya Blade, Jax, or Raiden without his new "dark look" in deception. Or you could just...you know, wait for MK Armageddon to come out, which is a long way off.

Sonya Blade looks pretty sexy!!!

This game is one of the best Mortal Kombat parts ever. The graphic is very good and also the sound is enjoyable, but the voices of these characters are sometimes the same. These voices are not good enough but everything else is fantastic. My favourite fighters are Jax (Height: 6'6" 198cm), Johnny Cage (Height: 6'1" 185cm) and that sexy woman named Sonya Blade (Height: 5'10" 179cm). Sonya Blade is one of the best created fighter. Sometimes I doubt to Sonya if there is a real actor behind her. Also the actors of Sonya like Kerri Hoskins and Elizabeth Malecki are not ugly. Sonya Blade is the most sexy fighter in whole Mortal Kombat. Take Kitana and and make that Kiss of Doom against Sonya. Kitana's Fatality: down, up, forward twice and press triangle. You will see that her fatality will blow up Sonya until she explodes.

I see now

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (or MK5 whatever you choose) is a good game for the PS2/Xbox. I was suprised that there have been newer features made into the game that were not in the other ones. The Crypt is one of them, and quite possibly the best one that they've added. It gives you a chance to unlock hidden characters, see video clips (my fav was the Cooking with Scorpion), art work, bio's, alt. costumes, and empty coffins that were 2000 coins just to piss you off. Another great feature is the journey, which tought you how to use combos even tough some of them were near impossible to do.

Now I give this 4 stars, because there could have been more charaters that we could have been able to choose. And there could have been a code to unlock Molauch (the moster with that big rock). Also they could have not made some of the combos almost impossible to do if you are on that journey. Oveall, a good job for another Mortal Kombat game. Also get MK: Deception. I haven't played Shalon Monks yet. But when I do, I'll write one for that game too.

Why is it rated M???????????????????

there isnt anything that bad in it I think that it should be rated T not M! Alot of kids who love mortal kombat are not allowed to get this game just because its rated M! Oh and if you like this buy Soul Calibur II ande III! Also buy Castlevania: Curse of darkness!

P.S : thats rated M too but its another stupid call on the ratings should be rated T!

Excellent!

The only negative I see with this game is the slow load times, but that's only because the graphics are so great! I also like the option of "turning down" the blood level. Fatalities are pretty good. Most go back to the originals, but with added features.

This is a great MK game. It features modes such as Konquest mode, A mode were you learn how to fight with every charactor, The Krypt, a mode that you purchase various items, and Kontent, were you can view your items purchased.

Pros:
*Great graphics
*Many charactors
*Many cool extras, like the MK history
*You can impale your weapons into you opponents to make them lose life faster.

Cons:
*The fatalities are extremely hard to perform
*Moloch is hard to beat
*Konquest can get repetative and hard
*Unlocking certain charactors is expensive

Story:
Quan Chi escaped from the Netherrealm and has joined forces with Shang Tsung. They are resurecting the mummified army of Onaga, the Dragon King. If the succeed, they will be unstoppable. Now you must defend earthrealm from this deadly alliance.

If you love MK, buy this game. If not, this is a good game to start with.

This version of Mortal Kombat is truly disheartening. I bought this game and have played it MAYBE 10 times since I have had it in a year. The graphics and audio are awesome. The story line is trash, and the movements are slightly choppy. I wish this game would have lived up to the previous MK's.
