It's still fun

I started playing lineage 2 back when it was in open beta, I got adicted and havent stoped yet. The graphics are awesome and with a decent video card (Raedeon 8500+ or equiv) it feels like your really there. Theres tons of lore and backstory to play off of if you like to role play. The only real downside is monthly cost, but to me this game is worth it. A+

The sequel to the most popular MMORPG in the world

I bet not many of you guys have heard of a game called Lineage and would probably wondering if it's really the most popular MMORPG in the world.

The answer is yes. A definate yes...

About 5 years ago, Lineage was first released in Korea and it was a major hit. Back then there were many bugs to be fixed and limited places to go, but people liked it anyway because it was just so 'addictive'

I myself played Lineage for many years now and it doesn't get boring no matter how much you play. While there have been numerous numbers of new MMORPGs released after Lineage, with better graphic and sound effect and all that, Lineage is still keeping its place at the top of the Asia MMORPG market.

If you don't realize how popular this Lineage is by now, read the next sentence. It has millions of regular players and no other MMORPGs in the universe have such number of players. Period

As a beta tester of Lineage 2, I got to play it before the rest of the world, and I've certainly enjoyed it.

Graphics are improved, and now you get to customize the look of your character, which wasn't available in the original.

I'd say, when this comes out you should buy it. I am not saying this just to make you waste your money. I am saying it because it is worth it.

Error with serial #

I purchased this game from amazon and just received it today, gotta love that overnight shipping!

Anyway, I can't play it. When I tried to sign up for online play using the serial code on the back of the CD case, I got this error message:
========================
Error: Serial Code in use

That serial code is apparently already in use. Please verify that it was entered correctly, and contact customer service if you still have a problem.
========================

I never used this code, I've never even played the game before! I made sure I entered the code correctly, tried again and got the same error. Man o man, the game is a headache already, and I haven't even played it. I just e-mailed the company that makes the game and received a swift response, though no resolution yet.

I'm giving this game 1 star for now, however it is very possible that if I can get this issue resolved that I may change my mind, perhaps even give it 5 stars. ::crosses fingers::

All I can say for now is be aware that if you purchase this game, you may find that your serial code is already in use. I had read in previous reviews under mine that some people had, had this issue... I just didn't think I would!

BTW, this is my first review ever! For crying out loud, I just wanna play the game!

AWESOME!

I have play many games in my day including: Everquest for 5 years-Warcraft III-2 years-DAOC-1 year-Lineage 2 is my newest game that I have been playing and it is absolutly outstandingly great! The graphics are amazing, the people are kind, and on top of that there are great quests and so forth.... I was in the beta and i love the game... i would recommend it to anyone and i actually think i have more fun playing this game than everquest, which says something... HOPE TO SEE YOU ONLINE PLAYING ONE OF THE BEST GAMES!

What a waste of code only zeroes no ones.

I have tryed it and then tryed it again. Like in a bad dream I kept coming back to see that may be I missed something. May be this game is good and I just need to stick longer to get it....
Nope .... It is the same garbage as it was when I first started it.
Mindles grind to the next level. Absurd PVP. Every character looks exactly like you. Pathing is bugged. Point and click movement is bad. No content no real economy.
You will hate this push over in one week. If you have to try it buy it used or wait till they have 30 day free trial.Which in my estimation is going to happen very soon.
In short :Avoid it.

Skeptical at first but truely amazed.

Great game.
Graphics are far superior to all others out at the moment. Very stream line. The game play is simplistic but like everquest for some reason gives you a feeling of acheivement when you have lvled or finished a quest.

Grouping is good and the dungeons are very atompsphereic unlike most dungeons or lack there of in MMORPG's that have come out lately.

All in ALL I would say this game is going to be one that I personally will stick with for at least as long as EQ.

Upsides:
Beautiful graphics makes other MMOGs look like they came from your NES.
Addictive gameplay, keep the shades open otherwise you wont realise youve lost a day.
Huge world to explore, beautiful valleys, frozen waterfalls, sunsets.
Steep treadmill will lead to rewarding characters for those who can handle it.

Downsides:
While a steep treadmill makes those levels feel rewarding (you have to earn them their not given!), it can also be frustrating.
Party adventuring hampers questing and experience gain, best to solo until necessary to party.

Another Beta tester...

I played open beta and I thought the game was really good and lots of fun. I'm not much of a PvP fan so I was worried at first, but the PvP was very tolerable. The graphics were also very nice, but there weren't enough different player character models for this day & age. I also really loved the quest system in the game. Unfortunately, I don't see myself playing it long term when there are simular more superior games coming up on the horizon. (EverQuest2, World of Warcraft, Warhammer) EQ2 is very simular and it promises to be top of the line. Anyway, if EQ2 wasn't coming out in a few months I might consider buying this, but I don't fore see me getting this anytime soon.

Hello! This game really impressed me! First off, NCsoft was very generous in whiich they give you every expansion away for free! Lineage 2, unlike Everquest, has assigned quests. Most of them are just going around killing things, but it never gets old! It has great graphics, cool worlds, and a great character selection. Ok, it takes forever to get "leveled up" but it's worth it! A lot of people never wait to get into the cool stuff. There are castle sieges, and there are huge bosses! However, the down side is that there are a lot of "player killers" that hunt down newbies. Usually PKers get killed before they cause any harm, but it's always good to be careful! In overall, this game is pretty satisfying. I'd give it 5 stars. No true gamer can go without playing this!

P.S. Most of these people writing the reviews are just noobs. They aren't far enough in the game to know what the good stuff is!
