THE BEST ACTION/SURVIVAL GAME OUT THERE

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 3 / 8

Have you ever played Silent Hill for the Playstation. Well, I have and it is just amazing. It doesn't have very good graphics but the action and intensity of the game keeps you playing and playing. Imagine Silent Hill 2 for the PS2. I've seen some videos and pictures of this game, it is just amazing. The graphics are incredible. Harry, the main character has a very detailed face. While reading Gamepro magazine, it says that the game has one of the best graphics of most of the PS2 games. I recommend to all teenagers who like Resident Evil, or action/survival game. This is the best. Review, by Chris Armstrong

This game has to be the best survival-horror game ever! Silent Hill 2 has everything from interactive fog to a great storyline! The characters are greatly detailed and the monsters are even better and scarier than the first Silent Hill game. The sound effects in this game is fantastic! The graphics and enviroments are also great in this game! I say it is by far the best scariest game out right now! I don't know why some people are saying that this game is a waste of money, but from my opinion, this game is recommended!

My boyfriend just got the game for me on Saturday and he got it for me because he knows I like the type of games that you have to figure stuff out. So he's bothering me because we put it on and it looks very spookie and the sounds are so real plus the lights were off so it didn't help. He's teasing me because I'm freaking out so I give him the remote and walk out the room for a second and next thing you know I hear him screaming, it was the funniest thing. So if it could scare the crap out of him and he's so tough, it could scare the crap out of anybody, lol. I would definetly recommend this game to anyone who likes horror movies. You get so into it that it starts to feel real.

Ok, it is eerie and creepy, but you spend literally 20 minutes walking without ever finding anything. Yes there is eerie mist over everything and the soundtract is creepsville, but the game will put you to sleep before anything actually happens.

The first minute of Bond Agent under fire contains more excitement than the first 1 hour of this game! And your character can't stop moaning about how miserable he is since his wife dies--get over it-- I might actually feel something if the game contained any excitement.

Rent it, and you will spend the first 1 hour of gameplay walking around (not lost mind you) before you actually find a monster. To walk from teh beginning to the town takes 20 minutes, and there is only ONE thing in between, and this is a cheesy cimematic scene. Maybe I should give this 1 star....but, once it gets going, it has the usual Resident Evil stuff, gross and gory and spooky, but too drawn out and boring. After each thing, you have to walk across the entire town for the next. WHY?? Nothing happens!! I wonder if this is just so the manufacturer can say that the game has hours of gameplay (they just don't tell you it is all walking in circles!!

These other reviewers must work for the company...

I bought this game based on the rave reviews it had received on Amazon. I owned it for about 6 hours and then exchanged it for another game because it was a huge disappointment. There is plenty of "territory" to cover in the game, but it is very limited. Hardly any doors open, you must stay on the beaten path. The "camera angles" are annoying as all hell. It is not "first-person" perspective; instead it is "cinema" style, from all kinds of alternating angles. Makes it disconcerting to say the least when you are trying to control the direction of the little man on the screen.

Let's just say that I have never had such a sinking feeling of regret as when I got home and tries this game. Thank god the store allowed me to exchange an opened video game.

Don't believe the hype! Buy Smuggler's Run or Red Faction instead!

CREEPY!

One of the scariest games i have ever played, and ive played em all. The first one did have a little more suspense but the sequal made a huge improvement on the graphics, gameplay and the story. The sorroundings make it seem like your playing in a demonic horror movie. With huge replay value, horrifying monsters and gameplay, and the best graphics ever seen on a survival horror game, this is a must buy.

Silent Hill 2

While differing greatly from Silent Hill 1 and 3, Silent Hill 2 is a strong standing game in its own right. The plot of this game is stronger, more stiumulating and interesting than 90% of the other games and movies out there. Gripping to the end, this is a game NO survival-horror fan should miss. If you're confused at the end, or have unanswered questions (and you will)

This is without a doubt the greatest survival horror game EVER made. First off the graphics and sound are incredible. The controls are as good as can be expected from this sort of game. But where the game excels is the story which is honestly scary. The fear is not caused by geneticaly enginnered zombies who occasionally startle you as in the Resident Evil series(which is also great) but is caused by suspense and a mind bending story. I know some of the people who played this game were confused by the story and thus hated the game and instead mindlessly play their football games which are easier for the feeble minds to comprehend. I pity these fools. But for those of you who enjoy good stories, solving puzzles( this game has quite a few good ones), and getting scared this is truly as good as it gets.

I need therapy!

Is there a therapy group you can join after playing this game? I swear... I haven't been afraid of the dark since I was 5 years old, but playing this game at night with all the lights in the house turned off and the sound turned all the way up is a truly frightening experience. Plus, the characters you encounter are all so...sick(?)...that, after my nightly gaming sessions, when I would stand in front of the mirror brushing my teeth before going to bed, I often looked at my reflection and doubted my own sanity.

Great atmosphere, great art direction and character design, great sound architecture; it's kind of what The Shining would be like if it were a video game.

Buy it, play it, and prepare to enter the nightmare world.
