Great, the best RPG ever, if not the best game ever.

If you liked Final Fantasy 1,2,3,4,5,or 6 then you will love this. It is the god of all RPGs. I will take you over 70 hours to complete and not for 1 minute does it get boring. The storyline is fantastic and will keep to griped. I recomend anyone thinking about buying the game should buy it.

FFVII? Blah.

Graphically brilliant, Final Fantasy VII is quite the entertaining game. However, after playing through it once (or maybe twice), it becomes as tiring as, say, the original Dragon Warrior for NES. Final Fantasy VII is also extremely educational--if you want to learn about shoddy translation ("This guy are sick.") or weak story endings (Red XIII was the last of his "race"--but suddenly there are more of his kind? What did he do, bud? Come on.). On the plus side, the plot does keep one guessing for most of the game. Overall, FFVII is a great game, one of the best in the console RPG genre. But I'd take a game like its predecessor (FFVI) or Shadow Madness over it any day.

This is the BEST Game EVER for the PC!

If your computer is new, fast (300 MHz or more for best results), has powerful video (4MB at least, 8MB for very good performance, and 16MB will blow you away!) and sound cards, and has a big hard drive, you will love this game! The graphics excel that of the PSX (Playstation) version, and if your soundcard is good enough and you installed the Yamaha program which is offered at the game's installation, the sound will also excel that of the PSX. Eidos Interactive has corrected the few of the minor translating errors (for the game was originally written in Japanese) from the PSX version. The PC version is inferior in two ways: first, FMV (Full Motion Video) scenes aren't quite as impressive as they were on the PSX (there may be two reasons for this: my television screen is nearly twice as large as my 19" inch PC monitor, and the FMV scenes were originally meant for a large television screen. The other reason could just be poor reformating). The other way in which the PSX is better is control: the game's control was designed originally for the PSX controller, and if you do not have a game controller for your PC, then you will have to use the "number keys" on the right side of your keyboard--but you can reformat it to other keys on your keyboard if you wish, but this does not help very much. For a synopsis (summary) of the game, read "amazon.com"'s review above. As you can see, it has a complex, involving storyline and the characters have a rich massive history. If you want to do ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING, this may take 60 to even 100 hours. If you rush through, you can beat it in 25-40 hours. As you may conclude, the replay value is wonderful, for I do not know one person who has beaten the entire game and done absolutely everything. In closing, I woulg HIGHLY RECOMMEND this game to anyone who likes Role-Playing Games (RPGs) in the slightest. Three cheers for Eidos Interactive, Sony Computer Entertainment of America, and SquareSoft!!!

This game is so unpredictable you never know what going to happen next. The storyline even changes slightly by how u answer some questions! This game is a good challenge for all, I got stuck at certain parts for weeks and I have been playing it 24-7. In fact I still haven't beaten it and I have had it for almost a year, but just because its taking me a long time don't think its unbeatable. Battle sences are great and u can give certain spells to certain people its really cool. I highly recommend this game to all people who like a good, challenging RPG.

Final Fantasy 7 is almost the best game I have ever play.I have the experence of playing Final Fantasy 6-8.But totally no.7 of it made me enjoy most.Although the quality is a bit worse than Final Fantasy 8, the design of the story and charactors are better than the others.I think that all people would love the game after they played it.

Final Fantasy 7 is a great game. It's tons of fun, and You get completely caught up in the storyline. But the ending ... It doesn't end the way alot of people believe it should. But the game altogether is worth it if you don't mind bad endings.

This RPG is a blast to play! The graphics and battle system will blow you away when you first play it! There's even a tutorial, so you can get in the game quicker! As for the storyline, excellent! The storyline goes all over the place, but that's what fun about it! The game itself is also long and entertaining. It took me 73 hours to finish, side-quests and all. You even get an amusement park filled with games and wonderful items to help you on your quest. Get this game!!! It will get you hoooked on hours to come!!!

This is the BEST Final Fantasy game EVER! It has it all: great storyline, realistic characters, simple (yet effective) battle mode and menu... and generally brilliant! It's much better than FF8, which had NO storyline (except for the Rinoa-Squall thing, which didn't make any sense...), ... field graphics (but great movies to make up for it), and a very confusing thing about limit breaks (which I still can't use) and junctioning. The only problem with FF7 was that it isn't avaliable in England on PC *grumble grumble* and I had to get it shipped in from America *grumble mumble grumble*, which was very annoying. But I've lent ot to the majority of my friends, and ALL of them have got addicted to it... anyway, this is a great game, so you should buy it, etc. ^_^

I love Final Fantasy 7. To me its the best game in the series. The dialogue can get cheesy sometimes, especially when it comes to the main character. The bosses are extremely easy compared to the playstation version. I gave this thing 5 stars cause this was the game that got me hooked to Final Fantasy in the first place.

THE BEST GAME ON THE PLANET!!!!

Final Fantasy 7 is my first Final Fantasy game. When I first got this game, I didn't like it one bit. I thought (and still do) the graphics are dissapointing based on the modern PS2 graphics. I didn't like the "turn based" feature because it reminded me of Pokemon. I put the game away in disgust. Good thing it was only [$] bucks. Finally after several months I have started to play the game again. Soon I realized how addictive the game was and how much fun I was having. I have played for almost 21 hours and am still on Disc #1. That means unless Disc's #2 and #3 are short, I still have many more hours of fun to look forward to. The gameplay and storyline make up for the graphics and I'm starting to prefer the "turn based" fighting system over what I have previously played. So, even if you don't like the game know, wait a while and I'm sure you will wisening up just like I did.
