This game actually gets better the more you play it. I recommend it highly. As you progress through the less than amazing storyline, you unlock cool parts of the game (same as Goldeneye). Multiplayer action is faster and fun. If you want an upgraded and better GoldenEye, this is it. Its worth the [price]. (The controls arent that hard to get used to and are great once you get the hang of it.)

It's diggidy dope and wiggidy wack!

Time Splitters will clue you in to what your PS2 is capable of. Although the characters are not the most amazing ever (they are quite good, just not jaw dropping) the sheer speed of this game will leave you in awe.

It is incredibly fun to play as a multiplayer death match game (which is its real forte). It has all of the DM standards and they are all pulled off quite well. A huge selection of weapons are available (thanks to the different time periods) and most of them have great effects so at some point you'll want to try them all.

I haven't had a chance to play much story mode but I think it really plays second fiddle to DM. The AI bots seem to be pretty adept at killing though if you are going to be playing by yourself.

All in all, I recommend this game highly, especially when compared with the weak competetion like Unreal Tournament. If you like fast FPS action with awesome guns with a killer frame rate you owe it to yourself to check this game out.

Is TS all it's cracked up to be???

In a word, somewhat. TS(Time Splitters) is one of the 24 PS2 launch titles. And having bought 20 of them I can say with much confidence that it's definately NOT the best. At most TS is a semi entertaining first person shooter that has a very rushed feeling. It's laborious one-player mode is painful to play through. Bad AI and boring levles make for a terrible single player experience. The saving grace is the fast and furious multiplayer mode. I played game after game with my friends, a total of 6 hours straight. The single player missions serve one purpose, to unlock more multiplayer options. So this is a warning if your looking for a good game to yourself steer clear. But if you have 4 controllers and alot of time on your hands, this is the game for you!

I'm sorry

This game is really lame, I got to play it yesterday when a friend brought his ps2 over to show it off.

There is no story, you just get plopped in to the level, the levels are pretty lame, and the monsters are horrid, and many things are modeled all blocky.

The framerate is nice and smooth, no wonder though, everything is pretty low poly. and for some reason it takes forever to load the levels... an very long time.

Save your money for better games, the SSX game looked pretty beautiful.
