Great Multiplayer Game!

This game has some tricky controls but they are fine once you get used to them. Whoever thought up the story didn't do so well but they sure invested a lot of time in the multiplayer. One great feature is that you can create your own maps to play on. If you like multiplayer gaming this is a must.

Fastest FPS for the PS2

Timesplitters is a very fast, customizable and graphically impressive game. Although many of the characters look [strange] they can all run around and shoot but the bad thing is is that there is no jump feature and the music is mediocre. Overall, if you have a PS2, buy this game. Also, dont forget to buy Unreal Tournament- that is also excellent game.

Best part is the co-op

With no story to go by it is hard to find one player any fun for long, but co-op is the best (yes better than Golden Eye and Perfect Dark) I have ever played and it is nice to have to play all the easy levels to play the normal and the hard levels. The game is true to the time periods with "Tomb" having low tech weapons (TNT, Tommy Guns) to "2035" futuristic weaponry (Laser Rifles, Plasma cannons). This game is a must have in a FPS and if the levels get boring make one with the map editor! The first console FPS w/editor up too 7 stories high!! The game rocks and is a blast with 2 or more people in deathmatch or co-op mode.

An excellent first person shooter

This game is great for any fan of first person shooters. When my brother bought this game, I thought it would be like a boring Doom game, just killing things and not knowing where the heck you are. In Time Splitters, there are different levels, in different times, in different places. You can be on a futuristic level in 2035, or a ancient egyptian level in 1930. Some great first person shooters, like Half-Life, bring more interest than just killing things. Time Splitters is one of those games. If you have a Playstation 2 and enjoy FPS, buy this game!

Goldeneye for Playstation 2!

Once you've gone through all the levels, check out the challenge mode. "The Tine Man Trial" is one of the most intense and exciting five minutes of video game action out there. This game wins in every category, scenery, playability, music and overall creativity. A must for those who've gotten their hands on PS2!

This is a great game controls are fully customizable a huge plus considering the default controls are a bit wack. The game only has 9 "story mode" levels but they are very fun.The game also has 18 arcade mode levels that you unlock by playing through story mode on the normal difficulty setting the game also has 27 challenge mode levels (very very fun!!)You unlock challenge mode by passing the story mode on the easy difficulty setting.Map maker mode is also a nice touch.

This game should provide hours of fun with friends or alone.

The Fastest, Funnest First Person Shooter Yet!

All I can say is wow, let's play again! This is by far the fastest first person shooter to date. The game can pump out smooth frame rates with one or four players. I had some friends of mine try it, one was a non-gamer. We ended up playing deathmatch for 3 hours straight. The only reason why we stopped was to eat! Everyone loved it. There are many different game modes including some challenge modes. My favorite is a mode where you have to eliminate 100 six foot tall Ducks that relentlessly hunt you down with guns! The controls are a bit different, but can be quite effective once you get used to them. There are an unbelieveable number of playable characters (to be unlocked later) and bots sets that make this game very dynamic. There are several pre-set weapon arsenals to choose from or you can customize your own. All things considered, it is a superior shooter that anyone would love after a little practice.

Timesplitters

This game is great. Its so much fun just to play. Its so fast and smooth. All you need with this game is four people,a multi-tap, a big t.v. and a lot of time. My friends and I started to play at 5 pm and didn't finish until 5 am. The graphics are so good and the gameplay is lightninig fast. This game takes advantage of the ps2. If you get the hub and the chords, then every one can have their own t.v. This game evens beats the popular Unreal Tournament. This is one of the first games you buy with ps2

This game is awesome. The graphics are good and it is fun to play most of the other people the wrote reviews dont even have the game but I do. The controls are hard to get used to but you will catch on. There are so many characters it is hard but fun to see how many you can unlock. I would recomend this game to veryone that has PS2.

I had an opportunity to test drive this bad boy at the local babbage's and I was blown away! What I especially liked (but it does take a little while to get the hang of) is that you control the character using those two knobs on the bottom of the control pad(one controls forward, backward, and sideways and the other controls the pitch). As soon as I can get a hold of a PS2, I'm getting this one right away!
