Just stupid

BEWARE game fans...........IF the WWF put out ketchup, you'd see 100 people telling you it's the best ketchup ever. This is the same case.

This game is very bad. I've been playing it for a week now and I plan on trading it away today. Ironically, the same people (THQ) that put out this terrible game also put out the BEST wrestling game ever for the N64 with WWF: NO Mercy.

Let's start with the moves. There really arn't very many. All your moves are based off the "0" button which makes it very hard to effectively do the move you're trying to do. For instance, 0 once does one thing yet 0 twice does something completely different, and due to the choppy action of this game you're constantly mashing buttons.

Since I'm limited in space, I'll say my least favorite aspect of this game is the COMPLETE lack of realism for WWF fans. By this I mean that the amount of damge done to your opponent has no reflection on his recovery. It doesn't matter if you hit a piledriver or a hip toss, your opponent bounces right back up. This goes on and on till one of you hits a finisher. Then, after you hit the finisher you don't pin your opponent because they call it a KO and the match is over.

The "Hell in the Cell" was the biggest selling point of the game's commercial. It's lame. It's just a cage match with a top on it. Through your opponent into the rope, the wall falls off, and you fight on the outside. Then you climb up on top the cage. Once you're on top you can't get off untill one person is tossed off/through the cage which do to the poor control configuration is pretty hard. Then after you toss someone off the 20 ft high cage (do your own JR impression) They pop right back up and the fight continues.

The table match is just as bad. You have to whip your opponent into the ropes with the table in the way to put him on it. This is hard to do since the 0 button controls all moves and really screws things up. From there you have to dive off the top to put him through the table. Again see my point about the chacater bouncing right up after huge moves.

All in all, I thought this game was terrible. It plays like a really bad arcade fighting game. I hope you don't waste your money.

I first started with wwf warzone, at the time it was all good. Then I went to wwf attitude it was better that warzone. Then wwf smackdown came out and for the first time I saw the wrestlers videos and the music instead of just the music. It was the better of the two, the moves were easier the finishers were easier, better looking, and just better. Then all of a sudden wwf smackdown 2: Know your role came out. I like the matches such as (hell in a cell, tlc, table, ladder, anywhere fall, not just one special guest ref, two! there some stuff that could of been better, like ladder matches, tag team tlc matches. It has like 70 wrestlers, 10 create a wrestler, you can make up to 20 stables (like dx, too cool, the hardys, taka and funaki) craete a manager( Kane w/ Paul Bearer) Overall It is the best playstation sports intertainment game on the market. I have not checked out WWF NO MERCY for N64 yet but we will see.

the game is just plain fun. the only bad thing is the season mode. it takes it forever to load and alot of the cut scenes are point less. other than that the game rocks.

Smackdown 2 is definetely the best game for the play station, never mind the best wrestling game. It will include table, ladder, casket, hell in a cell and dumpster matches. It will also have the famous sumerslam table ladders and chairs match. The season mode has more pay per view matches and 20 bonus wrestlers. There is also many new wrestlers in smackdown 2 such as too cool and Rikishi and Chris Benoit and Eddie Gurrero ect. There is also a large backstage areas wich include the world wrestling federation dressing rooms and cafe. So buy this now jabroni or you will never eeeeeever experience true sports entertainment.

I played smackdown 2 for playstation it was so fun It was a lot better then thre first one It had a lot more wreslers If you get one game this year get wwf smackdown 2.

The first time i played the game i was going to give it a five star rating.Then after a week i found myself getting bored with the game.I sometimes find myself playing with my friends now and thats it.Even after I created a wrestler i found myself getting bored even before i unlocked all of the characters.This game is somewhat a little fun,especially the hell in a cell match,tlc match,and hardcore tornado tag.As said before the game is a little fun but the thrills wont last forever.

definitely one of the best games ive ever played and certainly better than any other wrestling offering yet! the shher variety in the matches you can have is astounding, just imagine the u8ndertaker vs. lita in a tlc match or the '98 KOR hell in a cell relived. there are about 10000 possible matches on offer, including all of the grapplers and with everyone being sufficiently different from the other you'll want to try them all

the career mode is pretty good but suffers from some quite steep loading times along with the rest of the game which is the main problem. lets say we want to make a ppv, theres 10 matches and each one needs about 2 minutes of loading to create, along with the actual choosing of the bouts this can take upto an hour to do. it can also be pretty frustrating when you dont get the audience rating you were after or if a surprise belt change messes up your career mode. this is only a inor quibble though and it shouldnt changer your view of this excellent game.

According to THOUSANDS Gamers worldwide, this is the best wwf game. i have the habit of giving in the BAD things first so let me do it.

this is not a bad thing but there is still no commentatory. i hate the season mode because to unlock everything u need to go for 6 years in season mode which is downright FRUSTRATING, the skipping is not good as u need to watch a simulation that ends in 15 seconds or more to skip a single match. some of the cutscenes are outrageos and very boring and repetitive.

well i first bought the game, i had already read too much bad things about the season to play it. so i went on witht he exhibition which can enetertain u almost for life. then one day i ventured out to season mode to see whats bad. but it wasnt that bad in the beginning but afterwards i realzied why people wrote so many bad things about it. skipping, cutscenes, and random fights (Perry Saturn vs The Undertaker??) all were bad. the way michael cole shrugged when i first watched the cutscene was amazing to watch but then i started hating it after it got too repetitive.

OK NOW FOR GOOD Part.

THe Gameplay is downright amazing. moves easy enought for a beginner in Games to learn in an hour or so. Very addictive. the movelist is huge (altho i needed more) the Create A Wrestler is phenomenal (belive it or not i created 'Popeye the Sailor Man' witht the same big cartoon nose and cap and all) the list of matches is very good.

upto 40 types of matches are there and upto 66 wrestlers are there after u unlock them (unlocking wrestlers take 1 year in season mode) some of the cutscenes are AWESOME. i like some of the cutscenes , like u asking the APA for help, or u asking the commisioner or spokesman (Shawn Michaels is there in the game u gotta unlock him) or shane or mick or vince, to say allt he VIPs in WWF to change a match. Stone cold breaking the DX bus and saying 'and thats the bottom line coz stone cold said so' and HBK coming and telling that he will be a special referee in a match when he gets unlocked and all those.

The best part about the game that i liked was the exhibition mode. it was really cool the way rock holds the title belt whe it is put on the line. in the season mode, the realsim is sometimes so good that after winning the title, rock is pounded by the DX and his belt is stolen. I simply love the TLC matches where i put the table out of the ring, set up a ladder on the edge of the ring and jump on the table from there (jeff and matt hardy do it very very well)

the movelist is very real including edge's spear, d'lo browns leg drop (in which he holds his arms out, shakes his head and the does the leg drop) and all the player have their correct moves. its not like we have undertaker doing the inverted DDT or soemthing.

overall : Its an EXCELLENT game to play alone (u may get tired of it) but if u play it with friends (1 friend is enough) u will ADORE the game. a must buy, even if u arent a WWF fan buy it.

WWF Smackdown 2 is the best wrestling game for Playstation!

I myself was amazed by the first Smackdown but when i heard about Smackdown 2 i freaked.I'm even going to pre-order this game off of Amazon.com.So i recommend this game for great wrestling fans.

This November Smackdown2 will come out and boy is it a good game. It has an all new, updated roster including Rikishi, toocool and the radicals. All new double team moves will be included and a much better career mode. More matches including table, ladder, hell in a cell and tornado tag. Real superstar voices will be there instead of 3rd person cut-scenes and more backstage areas eg: VIP room, three locker rooms and will have the stage area of the Smackdown arena.

WWF Smackdown2 will be a great sellout and with all new graphics, it wont be avaliable for very long so get it as fast as you can. E-mail me what you think of my review.
