Smackdown 2 Is The Ultimate Slobber Knocker

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 3 / 5

One thing I gotta say about this game is, it reeks of awesomenous. Unlike other WWF games this game didn't leave one thing out. Here u get every wrestler to choose from such as Mean Street Posse, Essa Rios, The Divas, Shawn Michaels, and many many more WWF superstars. Plus it also has a big list of match-ups to choose from such as Casket, Slobber Knocker, Ladder, Table, Iron Man, Cage, Special Referee, Royal Rumbles, King Of The Rings, plus the electrifying and breath taking TLC match, and plus the most spectacular and Death Defying Hell In A Cell. Plus Handicaps, Fatal Four Way, Triple Threat, Hardcore, Anywhere Falls. You also can brawl it out in Bar Rooms, Dressing and VIP rooms, the parking lot, Restaurant, and plus WWF New York (Which u have to unlock). Then in the Season mode is where u have to expect the unexpected, plus this where u can unlock a whole mess of neat stuff from Ring Attire (for the Creat-a Wrestler mode)to special match-ups and plus unlock wrestlers. You can also start from the bottom and work your way and winning some WWF Gold as u work your way to the biggest prize in the industry. Anyway get Smackdown 2 and see if you will be the top wrestler in the WWF or just be the Wrestler's wrestling trainer

I Would Just Like To Sa That Anyone That Said They Have Played It Is Lying Because It Hasn't Even BeenCompleted Yet Its About 99% Complete So You Couldn't Have Oh And By The Way The Person Who Said That You Can Stack 10-20 Tables Ontop Of One Another Is Lying Because The Most You Can Stack Is 2, And Whoever Said That You Can Set The Casket Alite Is Lying Because Fire Isn't In The Game.

Personally I Think This Game Looks Great Well From The Reviews And Screen Shots I JHave Seen

don't get me wrong, folks, I love the WWF, and Smackdown!2 should be no exception, with the updated character roster, new types of matches, etc. I just ask you to not base your purchases on the premature reviews you see before you. Wait until the game comes out, then see the reviews after that. Who knows, it may save you some money. and yes, once it is released, I myself will write a REAL review on it,(contrary to this consumer warning,) but not before. I wouldn't want to misinform anyone.

This is THE best game ever!Over 50 characters including Too Cool, Kurt Angle and the new Biker Undertaker who actually comes in on his motorbike, which looks like a scooter. New modes include a revamped Create A Superstar where you can also create a manager and taunt. There are Hell In A Cell matches, Casket matches, TLC matches and over 15 new backstage arenas, not to mention the improved career mode and 20 bonus characters. i dont know why people are saying this is a grreat game and so on. the graphics are not so good and the music is dirt. the CAw Create A Superstar mode is interesting but whats the point again all you have to do is wait! the cutscenes are absolute nonsense and i really mean absolute nonsense. there is no need at all for it. i just bought it for 180 dhs which is like 40 to 45 dollar. i think i wasted my money. it was the end of term and i told my dad i wanted to buy SD2. but it all turned out a waste. i have now returned it and bought SD1 which is, i think the best even it is not oh so up to date. hell in a cell and cage match is almost same except in cage match you have to climb up and in hell in a cell you have to bounce off the ropes and win! i really couldnt wait to see the season mode when i first bought it! and i had to wait for 13 mins for the thing to download, and then when the first one was uninteresting i skipped it, and that took another 10 mins, it was really boring, if THQ wants to make another smackdown then what they have to do are: 1. add commentatory 2. Allow us to skip matches without WAITING! 3. show more of the entrace videos and let us see the wrestlers enter the ring and do what they want( like taunts, climbing the ropes, etc) 4. put in all the wrestlers so dont leave any of them for us to unlock! 5. lessen and i mean really lessen the time for loading. 6. add more better graphics. 7. this game needs better music. 8 it doesnt matter how much time you take but add more moves and make the finishers look the best. 9. most of all, and i mean most of all, it should not take more than 1 min to load. if these 9 things would be done! i would give any sum of money for this game. Till then people be happy with SD1.

BUY THIS GAME!!

WWF Smackdown! 2 is the best wrestling game ever made. It makes other wrestling games look sad. The graphics are as good as the Playststion can get. There is always something to do. You can play through a season and go for every title. You can create your own wrestler and take on the Federation, create a pay-per-view, create your own taunt, or manager. There are tons of wrestlers, including Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, Triple H, Kane, and even the likes of Cactus Jack and Shawn Michaels. The match types are incredible. There is Hell in a Cell, Ladder, Casket, Table, and Tornado Tag Team matches. There's also the other favorites, including Cage, Royal Rumble, Hardcore, I Quit, and the guantlet match, which is called Slobber Knocker in the game. The most surprising match, however, is the TLC (Tables, Ladders, and Chairs) match. Other features include the all new breakable announce tables, what seems like endless backstage areas, including WWF New York, a fork lift which you can drive, and actual cars that will run you over if you get in their way. Overall, this is definitely the best wrestling game ever. The only problem is the lack of commentary, but you will not be worrying about that when your flying off the top of Hell in a Cell or taking the Rock Bottom through a table. BUY THIS GAME!!

Come on, everyone...

"Well, I haven't played this game yet, but everyone says it's awesome, so it is!" This is what I've been reading throughout most of the reviews for this game. Come on people, how can you say this game is great when you've only seen a few screen shots and heard some of this-and-that about it. I read the same thing about the first SMACKDOWN before it came out, and that game stunk. Don't say it didn't, because it did. If the create-a-wrestler in this game is anything like in the original SMACKDOWN this will be disappointing. I'm not saying this will be a horrible game, and I'm not saying it will be a great game, because I don't know, I haven't played it yet. I've been to a very good site with daily news and tons of screen shots of this game and it does look really good. I'm just saying don't act like it's all great when you haven't even played it yet.

Okay. I like this game, but I'm only giving it 3 stars. I'll explain why in time. First off, most of the hype is true. This game does have an extensive list of wrestlers, both to start with, and to add to with hidden characters such as HBK Shawn Michaels. Second, a number of new match types to enjoy including: TLC, HIAC, Casket, Iron Man, Slobber Knocker, Ladder, and Table. Third, the Create A Wrestler combines the what I felt were the best features of WWF Attitude (the appearance menu), with the best features of the first SmackDown! (the ability ratings and move lists). Fourth, the computer AI has increased; no longer do your opponents stand around and take a beating without attempting to fight back.

So why only 3 stars? Well, I loved the first SmackDown, and in my opinion the folks at THQ went and tried to fix things that weren't broken for SD2:KYR. In other words, they really changed the Season Mode. In SD1, matches that you weren't involved in and didn't want to watch, were skiped in just a few seconds. In SD2, you get to look at close ups stills of the faces of the combatants in the match and watch as little life meters ala fighting games like Street Fighter slowly dwindle away until one person is named the winner. You might as well just have them fight the match, since it would be more entertaining now that the computer controled wrestlers are smarter, and actually try and fight. Another difference in SD2 Season mode, is the CAW characters. You can put a CAW character into the season mode, and choose to play as him or her. But as far as I've seen, that doesn't happen. With the character I made, he was not put into any matches during the season, only showed up to run in on computer vs computer matches (that were not skipped over), and when he did run in, I didn't have control over what he did, no matter how many times I pressed select to try and get control.

So, if you thought the best part of SmackDown was playing your own creation in season mode, stay as far away from SmackDown 2 as possible. Otherwise, this is a game that you should really pick up.

Sorry -

This is only an opinion, and don't get all cranky over it. I bought this game for forty bucks after months and months of playing both WCW Mayhem and BackStage Assault for playstation, within a few days of constant playing and frustration this game was being returned to the store i bought it. while this game has great features, good graphics and endless possibilities. The play control and pulling off moves and finishers is horrible and limiting. Unless your a hardcore WWF fan i wouldn't suggest buying this if your interested in a wrestling game.
